William's POV:
After we finish talking to the humans at the seance we meet up with my mom. "How did it go, Elizabeth? Did you have to warn anyone about Lamia?" My mom shakes her head. "It went well. A mom was rocking her baby. I helped her prepare a bottle. I just don't have the heart to scare anyone. You know what I mean?" My dad and I laugh our heads off and my mom just rolls her eyes at us. "Go ahead and laugh, but I know neither of you want to be evil." That stops our laughter and we both look at our feet. Finally, my dad speaks up. "This is true. I never wanted this for either of you." He looks up and meets our eyes before kissing my mom. "I'm going home." I walk away without waiting for a response and go inside through the front door.
When I get inside I hear laughing and talking coming from the bedrooms. I know I shouldn't, but I walk down the hallway instead of going downstairs. I watch my step as I walk down the hallway and finally reach the last door on the left. It's my old bedroom. I walk over to Sophia and look over her shoulder. She's on a video chat with a girl. She has black hair and a pretty face. Sophia is prettier though. Suddenly I see the girl's eyes widen. "Ummm, there's someone behind you." Crap! I immediately zap myself downstairs and start hyperventilating. I screwed up again. I need to see if I caused more trouble.
Before I can go back upstairs I hear a voice. "Sarah Dawson, stop playing with me. I-" I realize it's coming from the top of the stairs and zap myself into the closet. That was close. I hear muffled talking and idly wonder where Sophia's mother is. Sophia wouldn't speak this freely about ghosts if she was around, right?
