*Laura's P.O.V*

I was down in the basement with the door shut. I was sorting clothes from whites to colours.  Soon I heard a knock on the door and not long I heard mom walking across the floor and to the door.

"How may I help you, kids?" She asked.

"Hi, Ms. Reeves. I'm looking for Laura Reeves. We are her friends," I heard a familiar voice. Robin.

"She always had good taste in... friends," I heard mom say. "She's down in the basement. Can you tell her I'm leaving for work and I won't be back till tomorrow morning?" I heard four people walking inside. "Just down the hall to the left. It's the first door." They thanked her and I heard the door shut.

"Are we sure she would know where Eddie is?" I heard a boy ask.

"She has to. She was the last one to see him," I heard a girl's voice.

Why would they think I would know where Eddie would be?

I heard the door open and footsteps coming down the stairs. I heard them stop at the end of the stairs.

"Laura," Robin says. I turn my head and looked at the group.

Damn, she's hot. I heard the boy with really good hair say.

"I think you shouldn't say that," I said to him.

"What?" He asked me.

"You said 'Damn, she's hot,'" I repeat.

"I didn't say that out loud," He says.

"oh," I mumbled. "I must be going crazy again." I looked at Robin. "What are you doing here?"

"We are looking for Eddie. You were the last person to see him," Robin says.

"The last place I saw him was at his trailer when I completely freaked out on him. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want to see me again," I said.

"What do you mean freaked out?" The red hair girl asked me.

"I was kind of in a trans and I saw one of my memories, but I was about to be killed by this... creature thing.  I let out a scream and fell to my knees coming back to reality," I said. "I think I terrified him. So I have no idea where he would go."

"Great," The guy with the good hair mumbles.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to freak him out more so I left," I said.

"Thanks, Laura," Robin says.

"Can you tell him I'm sorry that I freaked him out? That I still have no idea what's wrong with me. And if he doesn't want to talk to me again, I would understand," I said. Robin nods.

"Back to square one," The boy with the hat says as I turned.

I was outside of a house It was by the lake.

"No. No. Not this again," I mumbled. I ran towards the boathouse. Hoping this creature would not follow me.

I open the door to see a boat in the middle of the room. A long hair boy was sitting in it. He wasn't facing me so I couldn't see who it was. I walked to the other side to see it was Eddie.

"Eddie?" I asked. It didn't seem like he could hear me. I guess he freaked out and came here. "I'm sorry."

Soon I came out of my trans and looked at the group.

"Boat," I said.

"What?" The boy with good hair asked.

"He's in a barn with a boat. Shit," I said. I pushed past the group and ran upstairs. The group follows. "How could I forget?" I ran upstairs and changed.

"What are you talking about Laura?" Robin asked.

"Eddie and I were in the woods. Talking about weed and things that he liked to do. I asked him where he gets his weed from and he said a guy named Reefer Rick." I came out of my room to see the four of them waiting for me. I was wearing a black crop top with black jeans and black boots. I had a choker around my neck and I was wearing natural makeup with red lipstick. I had my headphones around my neck and my walkman attached to my pants.

Whoa. I heard both Robin and the guy with good hair say. I rolled my eyes.

"So he's at Reefer Rick's house?" The boy with the hat at me.

"I think so," I said as I walked down the stairs.

"Well, we can go back to Family Video and look him up," Robin says as they followed me. I grabbed my keys to my BMW.

"No need. I kind of saw where he lives," I said.

"Wait, you have powers?" The red hair girl asked. I looked at her.

"Powers?" I asked her. She walks over and flips my left wrist over to see my 009 tattoos. I quickly pull away my hand. "Mom was drunk."

"No," The guy with the good hair says. "Your part of that lab."

"What?" I asked. "And I'm sorry. I didn't catch any of your guys' names beside Robins."

"Dustin," The boy with the hat says.

"Max," The red hair girl says.

"Steve," The guy with the good hair, says. I looked at them.

"Okay. Now that we got that squared away. Can we please go find Eddie before he has a mental breakdown?" I asked.

"Are you not going to ask what we are talking about?" Steve asked.

"You can explain it when we are in the car. It's a long drive," I said as I open the door. "Come on ass wipes, I don't, got all day."

They all walked out and get to my car.

"This your car Reeves?" Steve asked as they get to my car.

"Yep," I said as I get to the driver's seat.

"Daddy must be rich," He says as he gets to the passenger side.

"Daddy's dead," I said with a smile. "Mommy bought it." Steve looks at me in shock. "Get in."

"Yes ma'am," He says as he opens the door. I looked at Robin and rolled my eyes. She laughs as she gets in the back with Dustin and Max. I get into the driver's side and start up the car. I backed out of the driveway and we headed off.

"So explain this to me. What kind of lab and why do you guys think I got powers? And what does my tattoo have to do with all of this?" I asked.

"Hawkin's lab," Dustin says.

"Martin Brenner is a doctor who was working with kids who had powers. Every kid had a number on their wrist. We have a girl named Eleven," Steve says. "But her powers went bye-bye."

"Eleven?" I asked him. He nods.

"Well anyway. The way you see the way where people are just by closing your eyes. That's what El did," Dustin says.

"But how can I break glass just by screaming?" I asked.

"You probably have more than one power. Probably shadowing others while you were in Hawkins and you kept them," Robin says. I looked at her.

"Why don't I remember any of this?" I asked. "I mean. Wouldn't I remember I have powers?"

"You probably suppress them because you did something horrible once," Dustin says. I looked at Steve.

"I was eleven and I killed my father," I said. "He was going to hurt mom and turn me back into Brenner. Mom didn't like that and tried to stop him, but he pushed her. I ran in and threw him against the wall. He bled out and died. Mom and I moved around a lot. I think it was because if anyone got close to the truth about me, I could be exposed and she didn't... She didn't want to lose me again." I laughed. "She knew I was dangerous and decided to keep it to herself. Selfish bitch."

"She's not," Robin says.

"Then why didn't she tell me? Why didn't she tell me I was raised in Hawkin's lab?" I asked. "My whole life is a lie, Robin. I wonder what else she is hiding from me."
