(Hajime and Mihoko - Hitoshi Shinsou's parents, OCs - credits: keiid on Tumblr, I really like their names :) but I had to go back and change some stuff in the first chapter though to make it fit a little better.)

So, Izuku was forced to stay at Hitoshi's house that night, he ran home and got clothes and such before leaving since the Lilac-haired boy was very adamant about him sleeping. So, walking into Hitoshi's house he was greeted by his father, Hajime. "Izuku! I haven't seen you in a while," Hajime greeted. "Oh? Izukus here?" Mihoko asked, peeking her head out from the kitchen.

Izuku flushed and greeted them back. Now that he thought it, with the UA entrance exams and everything else it had been quite a while since Izuku had been at Hitoshi's house. Izuku excused himself and walked upstairs to Hitoshi's room. Hitoshi never really liked flashy things so his walls were a simple dark grey with a poster of Eraserhead (which was rare) and one of All-Might. It was something the two boys had in common, their favorite hero was Eraserhead.

Nothing else was really in his room besides a desk, his bed, and a bean bag chair that Izuku liked to sleep in. With a small smile on how Hitoshi's room hadn't changed a bit, Izuku sat his bag down and left to go back downstairs.

Unsurprisingly Izuku and Mihoko ended up cooking dinner together that night, as Hajime burnt the food trying to cook. Needless to say, neither of their dads were any good at cooking.

......

When Izuku woke up the next morning curled into a ball in Hitoshi's bean bag, his hand hurt considerably less. Or at least that's what he thought since he couldn't really feel it at all. Izuku laid there, staring at his hand and wondering if he could move it.

"So how'd you actually hurt your hand?" Hitoshi asked, startling the green bean since he didn't know the other boy was awake. Izuku sighed, he was very tired since his hand got hurt. "I hit the wall too hard," Izuku grumbled out.

Hitoshi snorted and raised an eyebrow. "I'd certainly say so," Hitoshi mumbled to which Izuku rolled his eyes. "The sooner Recovery Girl heals it the sooner you can start to train for the sports festival," he mentioned casually, watching Izuku freeze and stiffen out the corner of his eye.

Izuku sighed, knowing he would have to get over the thing about quirks if he wanted to actually be a good Hero. "Yeah, I guess," He said softly and jumped up to enter the bathroom so that Hitoshi couldn't ask him anything else. All he had to do is get through the sports festival and show everyone he wasn't weak.

......

"So what's your problem with the sports festival? And don't tell me nothing, that's an obvious lie," Hitoshi asked, killing off the next words Izuku was going to say. Izuku sighed and kicked the sidewalk, they were walking to the school. "I guess it's just the quirks," Izuku mumbled. Hitoshi understood he had grown up with the green bean after all and seen his love and hate for quirks.

He knew it was a struggle for hi- the greenette. "Just try not to let it affect you too much, I'm here if you need to talk," Hitoshi told him with a sigh.

"Todorokis mad about it too but that's probably because his father wants to force him to use his fire quirk and Todoroki doesn't want to, I think he also needs his mental health evaluated due to past traumatic experiences," Izuku pointed out, as he started to mutter.

Hitoshi was more worried about how Izuku knew this than the muttering but Izuku thought he was freaked out about the muttering. "Sorry, lets hurry, Hito," Izuku said quickly, as if he hadn't just spilled someone's private life.

......

Izuku flexed his hand, now that his knuckles weren't broken he could move it more freely. "Now, you need to stop getting hurt," Recovery Girl scolded. Izuku, of course, ignored her. He would always end up hurt no matter what he tried to do. His body and the world worked against him.
