The ride to the training camp was pretty boring, Izuku fell asleep on Hitoshi's shoulder. That is, it was until they got to the camp. When they paused for a break and everyone got out to stretch Izuku studied the surroundings, having a feeling that this was another one of Aizawa's plans.

He almost, almost, decided to scratch it off until the Wild Wild Pussycats showed up. Then he understood what was happening. He laughed a little when everyone was surprised that Aizawa would do something like this and certainly snorted when they tried to get back on the bus.

Knowing he had a couple of extra knives and possibly a dagger on him, no one else needed to know that, he decided to get a head start and jumped off of the cliff.

"Smart Kitten!" Pixie Bob crowed before they were all sent down with Izuku, albeit a lot more reluctantly and forcefully. Everyone was thrown into chaos as they were attacked by the golem-like creatures. Except for Midoriya of course.

......

Izuku made it just in time for the three-hour mark. He surprised the teachers and everyone else that was there, none of his classmates were so far and plopped face-first into the floor actually exhausted for once. Everyone cried out in surprise when they found Izuku reached the camo first, even if they were only about five minutes behind him.

Hitoshi, despite being exhausted himself, went over and prodded Izuku with his foot to wake him up. "Hey, Zuku, gotta get up and eat food, where's the ADHD energy when you need it?" Hitoshi asked as he yanked him up. "Don't remind me," Izuku grumbled under his breath.

Hitoshi laughed but prodded the greenette towards everyone else. Izuku finished eating quickly, scaring half of the class with how fast he could scarf food but he did have the experience and noticed a little black-haired boy standing alone. When he tried to talk to him the boy walked away, not even soaring a glance at Izuku.

Mandalay noticed him staring after the boy and walked beside him, startling him. "Sorry," she giggled and he smiled at her. "That's Kota, he doesn't like heroes much. His parents died when he was little," Mandalay explained, not going into much detail. "His parents were the Water Hose?" Izuku asked after a moment.

Mandalay looked surprised and nodded, a hurt look on her face. "I would be upset too, my mother died in a robbery," Izuku said before walking away, leaving a shocked Mandalay behind.

Izuku planned on talking to Kota later, maybe he could take Shinso with him too.

......

Aizawa got them up bright and early, at 5:30 in the morning. Izuku, mostly thanks to his ADHD and also thanks to being used to getting up, didn't have much of a problem with this, unlike the others who grumbled and groaned. Izuku figured Todoroki would be in the same boat, both of them having grown up and been trained by pro heroes.

Now that he thought about it, Izuku wasn't sure that anyone in the class besides Aizawa, Shinso, and maybe a couple of others were even aware that his father was a retired pro hero. They'd probably end up finding out eventually, and Izuku kind of wanted to see their faces when they did.

Aizawa proved an amazing point by having Bakugo throw the ball from the quirk apprehension test, proving that while they had grown as people they still had a little way to go with their quirks. Izuku thrummed with excitement when 1-B showed up, while he may not like all of their class they weren't too bad.

Izuku focused on training with Tiger, bouncing around and trying to hit the big man in different places and just being generally distracting on purpose, as it would probably help disorient Tiger.

When some people managed to take a small break and looked at Izuku they were shocked. He was hanging upside down, his legs wrapped around Tigers' arm as he shook him, trying to get him off. Hitoshi was trying not to laugh, having gotten Izuku stuck like that before the only problem was when it happened to him Izuku had his legs around his torso.

......

Much later, around 4:00 everyone was exhausted. Then they found out that they had to cook their own meals. Izuku got to work, moving slower than he usually would.

They created curry, using Todorokis fire to start on it as others chopped up vegetables. Iida spent a while trying to figure out how the potato peeler worked. He got it in the end.

Izuku noticed Kota walking away and grabbed three bowls of curry, one for him, one for Hitoshi, and finally one for Kota. He yanked Hitoshi away and followed Kota to what seemed to be a mountain with a small cave. Kota sat on the edge, looking out at the forest but his head snapped to them.

"What are you doing here?" Kota hissed out. Hitoshi looked confused as to why he was here but Izuku said nothing and sat the curry down, sitting next to the boy.
"I know you don't want company, but I wanted to talk to you," Izuku started. Kota growled and looked away, Hitoshi taking a seat next to the greenette. "I remember your parents, they were nice people my dad knew them before they died," Izuku continued.

Kota tensed and looked at Izuku, scowling. "Yeah and what of it? Did Mandalay send you here and tell you about them?" Kota demanded but Izuku shook his head.

"No, I did this on my own. I just wanted to say that I knew them when I was little your mom was the sweetest. I lost my mom too," Izuku spoke softly, intertwining his hand in Hitoshi's.

"Hitoshi grew up being sold he was a Villain by everyone in school, he lost almost everyone but his parents and me," Izuku said before pulling Hitoshi up and they walked away, Izuku saying a small goodbye and reminding him to eat.

Kota stared after the boy, wondering why he had never known him.

.......

"Are any more teachers coming?" Izuku asked Aizawa the next afternoon. Aizawa looked at him and shook his head. "We only came with the amount needed to helo with the two classes," Aizawa said.

Izuku nodded. "All-Might was kept away due to being an outright target," Ragdoll said as she popped up. "Tonight we'll be playing a game! A test of courage," Pixie Bob changed the subject. Izuku bristled slightly. He had a feeling that tonight something was going to go terribly wrong.

..

Later that night at dinner Hitoshi asked Izuku about Kota. So, Izuku explained Kotas's dislike of Heroes and Villains alike. Hitoshi had a thoughtful look on his face.

"I mean, if my parents were killed helping people I would probably feel the same, he probably feels like they abandoned him just to get the job to done," Hitoshi said with a shrug. Izuku smiled a little and nodded.

"I guess so, are you ready for this test of courage?" Izuku asked after a moment of silence. Hitoshi grinned at him. "I mean, not really considering I'm a wimp. I doubt they'll put you alone, you'll break someone's arm if they scare you," Hitoshi said with a snort.

Izuku smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck. "It's not like I mean to," He muttered. Hitoshi laughed as Izuku turned a light pink shade. He loved Hitoshi's laugh.

......

Later that night when the test of courage had begun problems started up. The first was the poisonous gas in the air, the remainder of class 1-A didn't know that yet though. The second was the black smoke billowing up from the trees. Some kids started panicking.

Izuku started panicking when he realized that Kota was nowhere to be found, probably at his hideout, when they announced that Villains were attacking. So he told Mandalay where they were going and grabbed Hitoshi's arm to drag him along.

......

When they got there Izuku forced himself into action, running and grabbing Kota to protect him as the huge Villain brought his fist down, cracking the earth. Hitoshi stood in shock, he was not expecting them to encounter a villain.

Devising a quick plan and waiting for Izukus signal, they were going to do this the fastest way possible to result in less damage. Hopefully anyway.
