CHAPTER TWENTY THREE

My father commanded me to come home, I don't know why.. maybe he misses his daughter or whatever. I don't give a d-mn!

"Greetings father, pinatawag niyo ako?" Bungad ko pagkapasok ko pa lang sa office niya.

Tinitigan niya ako. "Take a seat."

Tumango ako. "What is it? I've got a lot of stuff in my hands right now. What do you want to talk about, father?" Deretso kong sabi.

Hindi niya inalis ang tingin sa'kin, siguro nasanay na siya ugali ko kaya parang wala lang sakanya.

I am not in the mood. Hindi ko na alam kung paniniwalaan ko pa ang nabasa ko sa diary ni Zeirah. There's something about her that makes me uncomfortable nowadays.

"Something's bothering you?" He's staring at me intently, seems like he's observing me.

"What do you mean? I just got busy."

"Busy from what? Your mate?"

"So, may sasabihin ka pa po? I'm busy." Busy figuring out about your daughters' hidden agenda.

Win the battle? Ganun ba kataas ang expectation niya kay Zeirah? When in fact, ngayon lang din siya makakasali. Tch. What do I even expect from him?

"Then, don't even think of coming back." Walang pakialam niya sabi.

Seriously? Anong klase 'tong ama? Is he really going to abandon Zeirah? Tch. mas lalo akong na-pressure, is this why Zeirah is not coming back even though her powers have already awakened? Duh.

"You sure about that, father?" Ngumisi ako, di ko inaasahan ngi-ngisi din siya.

"I trust you."

Just three words but the impact makes me shiver, parang nakakakilabot sa pakiramdam. High expectations, huh.

Tumango lang ako, nagtungo ako sa may cabinet ni Zeirah kung saan nakalagay ang Diary niya. I need to read all of it, baka may makuha akong information.

"Wait.. where's Zeirah-- I mean, where's my diary, Divine?" Halos ilabas ko na lahat ng gamit sa cabinet pero hindi ko ito makita, 'di ko pa tapos basahin yun. There's still some pages left.
