Karma POV
For the past 4 days I'd been pleading and begging Jay to get out of going to this concert, but as Jay says " This is your punishment for your little shoe switch up" and we both seemed to have inherited the stubborn trait from our mom so I could already tell there was no getting out of this one. I decided to just start getting dressed in my white denim shorts and black "I don't trust me either " tank top, I couldn't help but try and think of an excuse that would actually get me out of this. But as I was lacing up my all black high top converse Jay came running into my room singing Good Girls as loud as she could , squishing any hope I had of playing sick.
"Let's go, we don't wanna be late now do we?", Jays excitement was through the roof.
" I wouldn't mind being late", I mumbled as we walked out of the front door and into our cozy Honda.
As we pulled out of the driveway Jay, as always, was playing 5sos.
"We're about to see these people why must we listen to them on the way there to?", I whined.
"Because everything has to be perfect. speaking of which, how does my outfit look?", she asked while running her fingers through her hair which as usual she wore straight down in the same choppy layered style she's loved since high school, she was wearing her favorite pair of black shorts with a fitted softball tee, to most likely match that one guy with the weird hair that she loves, and on her feet were her Harry Potter shoes with the Hogwarts crest on them. She could never leave the house without wearing something Harry Potter related, it was yet another obsession of hers.
" You look great", I answered honestly. Me and her may not always get along but she's still my sister and I love her.
When we pulled up to the arena Jay was jumping up and down in her seat with the biggest grin I'd ever seen. When we finally parked and headed over to the line I stopped dead in my tracks. Right in front of me was probably thousands of screaming girls waiting to get inside, one of them being my somehow older sister.
" Great, let the fun begin", I mumbled as me and Jay took our spots in line.
Jays POV
As Karma and I waited in line I couldn't help but feel nervous , I was about to see 5sos and that meant that I was finally going to see Michael Clifford in the flesh. I've loved him since I started listening to this band. I even planned my outfit to sort of match him if you hadn't noticed. Just then the line started to move and we were being let in. Just being here was already to good to be true, but if I was dreaming I didn't ever want to wake up.
Once we had finally gotten inside I tried to stop at the merch stand and buy everything in sight but Karma stopped me and made me walk away. She just didn't understand sometimes. We went straight to our seats after that, which were pretty close to the stage. These must have cost a fortune, note to self thank Rubi again later. I couldn't stay still in my seat I was too excited and nervous. I looked over to Karma and she was on her phone slouching in her seat.
How could she be so calm? I was over here trying not to puke on myself like a child while my little sister was calmer than everyone here. Unfortunately I finally remembered that she didn't like 5sos. I know what your thinking , why not bring someone who actually likes them , but it's not just a punishment I really wanted to experience this with my sister. We'd been through a lot from the time we were born and we're still going through a lot and we each had something that kept us going, besides each other, and that's what 5sos was to me, they were like my happy place. And now that I finally had the chance to see them live I wanted my sister here with me.
I found myself deep in thought as I looked around the arena but that's when my gaze stopped on one particular man. "Shit", it can't be , why is he here? When I looked back at Karma she was already looking at me with eyebrows raised.
" What? you look like you just saw a ghost", oh but I wish I had.
" Look to the right but don't make it obvious", as soon as she did that her entire posture changed. She was now sitting straight up and stiff , I could also tell her jaw was clenched. When she looked back at me her already dark brown eyes were practically black now.
" I have to go", she said as she stood up from her chair.
" I'll go with you", I suggested but knowing Karma she wasn't gonna let me.
" No this is my problem you stay here and enjoy the concert , I'll try and come back if I can , but I gotta go", and with that she took off. What the hell was she going to do? What the hell was I supposed to do?
Karma's POV
As I took off I looked behind me again and saw that he was following me. Perfect hopefully I could lead him away from Jay, as I tried to push through the crowd I noticed a hallway to my right so I headed towards it. I was walking down the long hallway making several turns hoping to lose him , I stopped and listened, I could hear his heavy footsteps down the hall.
I had to move fast but where, I could see a door not to far down the hallway so I took off towards it. As I approached the door I could hear his footsteps getting closer so I sprinted the rest of the way and opened the door quickly. I hurried inside and locked the door , I heard him stop right outside the door and curse something under his breath. I pressed my ear against the door and listened , I heard his footsteps walking in the opposite direction and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
A throat cleared behind me and I froze, I slowly turned around to see who it was. Staring back at me were 4 very confused looking guys.
