When the buzzer signaled the end of the first quarter, the score read.
23-20
The generation of miracles is in the lead but Tetsuki and the others slowly gain up the score behind them.
While the others from each of the teams was seeming surprise of how the team keeping up with the generation of miracles
"Wow, they're keeping up."
"Since when Hayama able to do that?"
"Can't believe Kasamatsu is actually able to stand up against Akashi ankle break."
"Well, only when defending; Akashi still manages to steal the ball from him when given the chance."
"I can't believe Kuroko-chan had this level of leadership."
"What else is that stupid kouhai hiding?"
"Captain, you're going into clutch mode."
Murmurs and other conversations could slighting be heard from the players as the teams set up to start the second quarter.
Tatsuya had substituted for Tetsuki though before leaving the court Tetsuki appeared to have whisper something to Kagami which left Kagami grinning.
Shoichi was now marking Midorima while Tatsuya took Shoichi plan against Murasakibara.
Kotaro had thrown the ball in to Yukio and received it back before Akashi could attempt to steal it again. Kise came up to block and Kotaro used his lighting dribble to bypass the other and pass the ball to Shoichi quickly passed it to Kagami, who quickly enter the zone. Aomine quickly retaliated and activated his zone.
The duo dance around the court and Kagami was able to bypass the ganguaro...I mean Aomine with enough room and time to do a falling star dunk over Murasakibara.
The court temporarily became a one-to-one brawl against each other team's ace as they block and scored against each other. A few of the others were able to score but most of the second half was fought between Aomine and Kagami.
The scores shifted, but the gap seem constant.
After Shoichi manage to squeeze in a three-pointer, Midorima approach Akashi.
"I didn't think they would put up this much of a fight."
"Indeed, Kuroko-chan is making great use of her team." Noticing the bewildered look, Akashi continue, "Kasamatsu surprisingly has a great sense of balance that makes it difficult to ankle break him. Murasakibara while great at both offense and defense, needs to remain closer to the basket the decrease the chance of the team scoring more often than they are now. Kagami on Aomine for obvious reasons. And Hayama has enough speed and reflex to keep up with Kise. Kise can't afford to do Perfect copy yet or we'll have to forfeit when he cannot longer continue."
"Plus," red eyes roam over to where Tetsuki and Kazunari sat, "I have no idea what Kuroko-chan has planned for Takao but he has been studying this game quite intensely."
Midorima snorted at the last remark, "If only he would study his notes with such intensity." The green-haired megane pause for a moment, "I believe it's time we give a surprise of our own."
Akashi quickly caught on to what Midorima was referring, "Is that fine with you?" Midorima adjust his glasses.
"If it is you, I'm sure I can shoot just fine. I was able to do it with the idiot, didn't I."
Akashi smirk a little bit of Midorima comment when he and Midorima go against him in the winter cup.
The ball was passed in to Akashi, and as expected Yukio quickly came up to block him. Though, Akashi made a few small attempts to bypass Yukio, the former Kaijo captain notice the other to be stalling, but or what-
