"Do you think he's coming back?"

I looked at the door, hoping that he wasn't. "I don't know.." I whispered, turning my head back to Lydia. "Draco's probably searching the entire world by now." Or at least I hoped he was. All I could imagine was just wrapping my arms around his neck and feeling the warmth of his body.

"I miss him so much.." I whispered, resting my chin on my knees before hugging myself. "I'm glad you love him too. He was so scared you wouldn't like him." Lydia said, tracing circles over her thighs, probably to cure boredom.

Love.

"No, I-I.." I laughed softly, but Lydia cut me off. "He couldn't wait for you to be safe. He said that even if you wouldn't love him, he'd find a way to be okay with it, as long as you were happy." Lydia told me. My heart melted at her words. Draco Malfoy, a fucking murderer totally head over heels for a stupid teenager who was mean to him most of the time.

"What happened between you and Ezra?" I asked her. Maybe it was rude, but I wasn't going to pressure her to answer me. "I really loved him, but he wasn't right for me. Ezra's past wasn't easy. When we met I knew there was something sad about him, but he can't talk about his emotions, the only one he knows is anger. I tried fixing him, it was stupid.."

At least she was able to let him go, unlike what Riley did to me. "He couldn't love me the right way anymore. So I broke up with him. It hurt me but it had to be done. Ever since then he's hated me. I wasn't even sure if anyone was looking for me. I didn't know if he'd care." She whispered.

How on earth was I supposed to tell her how Ezra really felt? That he just wanted Lydia back as a distraction from me? She deserved so much more..

"You did the right thing. He'll come around. He's just bad at communicating." I said, talking out of experience. It already suprised me when he apologized— that was a fucking miracle. "It's never gonna be the same again after this. Now we're both damaged." She whispered grimly.

"We need to have hope. Even though they have no idea where we are, they might be able to find out. They've been looking for you for weeks, they've found clues and stuff." I said, playing with the shirt I was wearing. "These people are like Death Eaters. They're extremely strong." Lydia said.

She sounded hopeless after I'd asked about Ezra.

"How many are there?" I asked. Draco's side had about fifteen men, all well trained— from what he'd told me. "Five, but all very strong. Most of them are related to ex-Death Eaters." She said. I felt hope again, this had to be good. "We're with fifteen people. It's not impossible to beat them." I said.

Suddenly the door bursted open. Lydia gasped, grabbing onto my arm. Leo was there, clearly angry. "You done?" He asked me in a deep voice, walking towards me. I wasn't. "Come with me." He said, grabbing my hand, pulling me up.

I looked at Lydia one more time before he'd pulled me out of the room, locking the door. "Malfoy's trying to break the protection charms around the Manor. That son of a bitch found us." Leo hissed, pulling me back in 'my room'.

A weight was lifted from my shoulders. I smiled a little in relief, closing my eyes for a second. "So, I'm gonna let him. I'm gonna let him search this entire house until he finds us. Then I can finally kill him." Leo said, gently pushing me down on the bed.

I had to do something. I had to come up with something. I wasn't going to let Draco die. "I've told my men to leave so they won't be a distraction." Leo said. So it was just him? Was he really that stupid? I wondered if Enzo and Draco's friends were with him.

"Be a good girl. If you do anything we'll do this the hard way, yeah?" Leo said, grabbing onto a gun, taking the safety off. "Yes." I said obediently, hoping deeply that he wasn't reading my mind. I heard some noises downstairs, my heart pounding. Draco, don't get yourself killed now, idiot.
