Peter's POV

Zero, Zero. Where is she in this hell hole? I kept asking myself. I had escaped Hawkins lab 3 weeks ago and a high school boy with very luxurious hair pointed me to this location. "Y/n?, yeah everyone knows her. She's the smartest and prettiest girl to ever live in Hawkins. If I didn't have my handful with my kids I'd date her" he said with his hands on his hips, y/n? Did she giver herself a name?. I liked it, it was very beautiful. I think the boy's name was Stan?..Stephen?..Steve? yeah Steve. What a good mother he seemed to be, anyways I asked to barrow some of his clothes and to my surprise he actually said yes. His house was huge and he was a very hospitable host. Hawkins high school is where he said she'd be, I can't wait to see her. It's been a year since she escaped, I would have gone with her but papa caught me trying to follow her and..punished me. My head strained trying to not remember the horrible pain and as I blinked to refocus my vision, I heard that beautiful voice I dreamed of hearing again. I looked up to see her waving goodbye to two other girls carrying similar books. She was headed my way but was looking around for something, "Y/n!" I yelled while running up to hug her. I embraced her in my arms and spun her around excitedly. As soon as her feet landed back on the ground she shoved me away, "What are you doing?!,and who are you?!" She yelled. My eyebrows furrowed together confused and hurt, "Y/n it's me, 001?Henry?The love of your life?!" I held her hands to which she ripped them from my grasp. I don't understand, y/n and I have always been close and before she left she said she loved me. What's changed?, "I don't know who you think I am but I would have definitely remember having a crazy friend" she tried to walk around me but I stepped in front of her. "You are number 000. You're the original, a former patient of Hawkins lab, it's on your wrist!" I grabbed her arm and held it up to her face. "Look I may not remember getting that tattoo or anything before last fall but I'd certainly remember being at Hawkins lab", I took a step back processing what she had said. "What do you mean you don't remember?", she sighed "Last fall I got hit by a car, I don't know where I was going or came from but when I woke up they said I had amnesia and that my memory might come back some day. Do you really know me?". I nodded quickly, "Yes!yes, we grew up together. We were best friends and..and we love each other. Always have" I smiled while slipping my hand in hers. She opened her mouth to say something when another voice stopped her. "Y/n!, there you are. Who's this?" a boy- no a man asked while putting a hand around her waist. She hastily let go of mine, "Who is he?" I asked trying not to let my anger show. "I'm her boyfriend twerp" he stepped closer and in a very threatening manner. "Boyfriend?, that's not right. She loves me!, I love her!" We were similar in height so getting up in his face was easy. Y/n squeezed in between and put her hands on our chests separating us. The amount of glaring was so strong that I thought our eyes might explode. "Look freak, I've been with y/n for a while now so how about you go back to whatever mental hospital you crawled out of and leave us alone" he placed his arm around her shoulder pulling my y/n closer. I gritted my teeth, "No, I'm not leaving without her" I growled. He sighed and then brought his arm back while making his hand into a fist. Before he could hit me, a invisible force repelled him and knocked him to the ground. Well I didn't do that so who- "Don't.hurt.him" y/n warned while wiping away the blood from her nose. He slowly got up while staring at her as wide eyed as I was. "Zero?" I asked trying to find her eyes, "Why are you here Henry?" She glared. I took in a shallow breath, "I-I thought you didn't remember me?". She slowly smiled and then started to giggle like a maniac. "How could I forget 𝐲𝐨𝐮, you're my best friend One. I told you I loved you before I left didn't I?" She tilted her head a bit, I nodded and moved a tad closer. "What happened?", "Well like I said I 𝐡𝐚𝐝 amnesia but it went a away i week after I was released from the hospital. Of course I didn't tell anyone who I really was, would hate be sent back to that hellhole so I got adopted by a nice family and now I'm here. Now what are you doing here?". I frowned still trying to comprehend what's happening, "I..I uh escaped this morning, I went all around town trying to look for you. I wanted to see you again and tell you that..I love you". By this point the man was already on his feet and backing away. "You can have her man" he retreated to his car where a red headed girl was waiting, "We'll thanks for blowing my cover Hen" she crossed her arms. "What do you plan on doing now?" She asked, I shrugged "My first goal was to find you, I'm not sure what to do next". She hummed before answering "I am", with that she grabbed my face and pulled me closer. Our lips connected and I felt a spark ignite in me. I held her waist and pressed our bodies together. "You don't plan on going back right?" She asked while pulling away, I chuckled "Hell no".
