Wheeler basement: the next day
The boys were bringing Lucas up to date about everything so far. Y/n sat silently on the floor, staring at Max from afar. She was sitting on a desk, writing something down, she's been there for a while. Y/n could only wish she could help in some way. She hated seeing someone she cared about being so helpless.
Her mind wandered as she remembered the vision she had the day before at the high school. Her fingernails dug into her palms as she remembered. She began to shake again, she looked around to see if anyone had noticed.
Y/n thoughts were interrupted by a pair of footsteps descending the stairs to the basement.
"We have a plan," Robin said, "thanks to Nancy's minions we are now psychology students that attend the University of Notre Dame," She said happily, " I am now Ruth,"
Nancy finished her sentence," And I am Rose," she smiled, "So we called Pennhurst Asylum, told them we'd like to speak with Creel for a thesis we're co-writing on paranoid schizophrenics... To which they said no. But we landed a three o'clock with the director. Now all we have to do is charm him and convince him to let us talk to Victor. Then maybe we can rid Max of this curse," she said.
"Yeah about the Creel guy, we have a lot of questions," Steve said.
"So do we, hopefully Victor has the answers," Nancy said.
"Where's mine?" Steve asked, giving a stare to Nancy and Robin. To which they both stared at each other blankly, and headed upstairs with Steve following behind them.

After about twenty minutes, Steve angrily came down the basement stairs and sat down on the couch, between Dustin and Lucas. Y/n let out a chuckle.
"Don't laugh at me," Steve said.
"I'm not," y/n said, holding back a snicker, "babysitting again Harrington?" She teased.
"Shut it," he angrily said.
Everyone started to stare at Max worryingly, y/n did too. She was extremely worried, she didn't know Max as long as everyone else has but she cared for her. She was there for her when Billy died, she held her as she wailed and cried. She hoped Nancy and Robin would find out something soon.
"I know you guys are staring at me," Max suddenly said, the group started to freak out and blurt out random things and reverted their eyes elsewhere.
"What? Sorry," Steve said.
"You said you need something," Lucas asked.
"Just hanging out," Dustin said.
"What happened?" Y/n asked.
Max walked towards them, standing in front of the coffee table. Staring at everyone in silence.
"You can look at me now," she said.
"Oh thank god,"
"Sorry"
"Sorry"Dustin let out a long huff before staring at Max, she held a series of envelopes in her hand and started to hand them out, saying "for you" as she gave them away.
When she got to y/n she handed her multiple, "this is yours and um, give these to El, Mike and Will," she sadly smiled.
Dustin began to open his but Max immediately stopped him.
"What are you doing? Don't open it right now!" She exclaimed.
"Okay...but what is it for then?" Dustin asked.
"It's umm...a fail safe. You know for...after. If things don't work out," Max said.
"Wait woah," Steve said, beginning to shake his head as if he didn't approve.
