It had already been a week that I had been hired by Sasuke. I was starting to wonder whether I hated him or not, because he annoyed the living daylight out of me. In the seven days I had been there, I never saw him in the bedroom sleeping, I was starting to wonder whether that man child actually slept. I barely saw him, he was always working in his study or at his company.

I had seen Itachi and he was able to tell me a couple other things on him. Sasuke loved tomatoes, he was 28 years old, their parents had both died a couple of years ago in a car accident, making them both inherit the company. He hated swimming, or nicknames of any kind.

The more I thought about it, the more he seemed like the most boring person ever. His condo was the cleanest because he was just never there. He didn't cook, didn't clean, didn't even do the laundry. He had people for that.

I was currently reading a book in front of the TV. A documentary on crocodiles was playing, but I didn't really listen to it. I tried focusing on my book. It was about a girl that went into a forbidden forest and had lost her shadow. So, she teamed up with a spirit in the forest to try and find it. She had three days to do so or she would completely vanish and be transformed into a flower in the forest. The forest was also governed by a big tree. Saying it like this didn't make any sense, but it was a good book.

I was bouncing my leg up and down as I looked at the time again. It was 6 pm and Sasuke was still not back. Normally, he was there by 5 at the latest. What was up with him anyway? It wasn't like him at all. I was about to call Itachi when there was a knock on the door.

Sasuke was standing there, face flushed, looking tired and loopy. His tie was untied, laying limp around his neck.

-Naruto! He exclaimed.

I was surprised with his attitude, normally he would just ignore me.

-Where were you? I asked.

-Itachi invited me for drinks! I didn't tell you.

-Okay, are you good? I asked.

He seemed like he couldn't stand upright.

-I'm fine.

-I hope you didn't drive here, I told him.

-Kakashi picked me up.

He walked into the apartment, leaving me to close the door behind him. He let himself fall on the couch.

-You look tired, maybe you should sleep, I proposed.

-I'm fine, he mumbled.

He was already fast asleep on the couch. I picked him up by the arm and pulled him into a sitting position. He started to protest but I shut him up real quick.

-Just go to bed! I said.

He didn't want to, so I picked him up bridal style. I tried not to think too much about the situation I was in. He quickly wrapped his arms around my neck to make sure he didn't fall. His skin was surprisingly soft against my neck. His head was resting against my chest as I climbed upstairs and into our shared bedroom. I put him in a sitting position and took off his tie from around his neck. I helped him take off his black jacket. I didn't want to take off his trousers, so I laid him down with them, still. I threw his clothes in the laundry basket. As soon as I laid him down on the bed, he seemed to be drifting off fast.

I took a good look at him. I hated how vulnerable he seemed. I hated the fact that my eyes lingered on his lips and that the only thing I could think about was how easy it would be for me to just lean down and steal a kiss. What the fuck? I'm not gay. I don't like dudes. I shook my head and was about to leave the room when Sasuke grabbed my sleeve and pulled me back. My eyes fell on his lips again. I hated his melodic and cold voice as he whispered my name.

-What? I asked.

-There's a charity party tomorrow night. Wanna go with me? He asked me.

-What? I asked.

-Itachi told me I had to be there, but I really don't want to go. It might be more fun if you would come with. He repeated.

I nodded slowly and he turned on his side and fell asleep. I was wondering if he was even going to remember this conversation in the morning.

I got back to my book in the living room, fuming for no particular reason. I must've fallen asleep, because I woke up at 6 am on the couch with a sore neck and back. I got up, making coffee for when Sasuke was going to wake up. I was wondering if he was going to be hungover at all.

I heard the door of the bedroom close and poured him a cup of coffee. I left a bit of space for if he wanted to add anything in it and set the mug on the counter. When I saw him, he was still in his white dress shirt with his black trousers on. They were both wrinkly from the night. His hair was a complete mess and it was satisfying to see him in this state. I hated the fact that I wanted to run my hands through it.

He took the coffee mug with a tiny smile and a nod as a thank you. I returned it with a grin of my own and looked at him as he downed a big sip of his black coffee. Guessed he didn't put anything in it after all.

I made myself a cup with a lot of sugar and a little bit of milk. I took a spoon to stir it and sat down across from Sasuke.

-Your head good? I asked him.

He groaned and shook his head no. I chuckled at that. He sent me a glare but I just smiled back at him. I saw him raise his cup to his lips again and I couldn't help but stare. I bet his lips would taste bitter from the coffee, and they would be warm, too. I shook my head when he suddenly stood up.

-I'm going to go change.

I nodded and he left for the bedroom again. When he got back down, he was dressed in a dark blue suit with a black tie and dark blue trousers. Blue definitively suit him. He was grabbing the journal and he left to put on his shoes.

-Ill be back at 3:20. The charity is at 5, be ready then.

-Okay, I told him.

I was surprised he actually remembered everything. He nodded and closed the door behind him. I was back to being alone and bored.
