We were about to leave for the charity gala. I was wearing a cerulean suit and trousers with a bright orange tie and white dress shirt. When Sasuke saw the tie, he ordered me to go change it, but I refused. He sighed angrily and hurried to his car. I followed after him, locking the door behind us. He pulled out of the garage with a dark gray Porsche that just had to match his stupidly beautiful eyes. I hated his eyes.
I got into the passenger seat and we zoomed to the other side of the city. We got there in a little over twenty minutes. A valet took the car and drove it to a parking garage nearby. Sasuke grabbed me gently by the arm and dragged me through the red carpet that was draped on the pavement. Cameras were flashing everywhere from the journalists. I didn't think it would be such a big deal. To say that I was nervous was an understatement. Sasuke completely ignored the paparazzi and just lead me inside the building. The ballroom, for lack of better word, was gigantic. A big chandelier was in the middle of the dance room as an orchestra was playing violin on stage. There was the smell of cigarette and alcohol in the air. The room was filled with so many voices that I got dizzy walking in.
Sasuke pulled me to a side where I noticed Itachi was. Once the big brother noticed us, he waved us over.
-Lil bro, you made it! He said.
-Don't call me that, Sasuke shook his head. And how could I not? You ordered me to come here.
-You even brought Naruto along! Itachi ignored his brother and shook my hand. Your suit matches your eyes so well, and I like the tie, he complimented me.
-Thanks, I like your suit too.
It was a dark burgundy suit with a matching tie. He had a black dress shirt underneath.
Itachi forced Sasuke to go and talk to other people, so he dragged me with him, introducing me to important figures left and right. My mind was spinning so much that I remembered zero names during the first twenty minutes. I shook something like fifty hands and it was getting incredibly hot inside.
We ended up finding Itachi again, and I excused myself to go to the bathroom. I found them after five minutes and got into a stall. I sat down on the toilet and just breathed in for a moment. This whole experience was nerve wracking and I didn't like any of it. I had to remember I was there to help Sasuke handle it. I hated how bad I wanted to go back to his side right away, but I took my time. I washed my hands even though I didn't go to the bathroom at all. I put some water in my face and looked into the mirror. Itachi was right, my suit did bring out my eyes.
I left the washroom and as I was about to turn the wall to go back to the grand hall, I heard Itachi's voice and Sasuke's.
-You're still as uptight as ever. You guys didn't do anything?
-Of course not. Sasuke answered.
-You should really enjoy it while it lasts. I mean, you only have two weeks left with him. After that, you're going to have to find someone to have a serious relationship with. You're 28, you have to get married soon, you know. Itachi told him.
I didn't know why I was eavesdropping, but I was very interested in their conversation.
-I told you. I refuse to do anything with him. I didn't even want to go there in the first place, you forced me to. Also, I am not getting married any time soon.
-Naruto's a good looking guy. I'm sure he caught your eye the second you saw him.
-Whatever, Sasuke replied.
-And I bet you just love his rebellious side, too. He's a lot like you.
-He's nothing like me. Sasuke deadpanned.
