Remember Me [Yato x Reader]

Kofuku instantly tackles you as you enter the house.

"(Y/N)! Where have you been?" She asks as she rubs her cheek against yours. You sweat drop and wave her away.

"Gomen gomen. I just wanted to have alone time. Has Yato come back?" You ask. Kofuku points to a room and you go in.

"Yukine-kuuunn!" Yato cries out. He's sitting in a corner, with snot coming out of his nose. Yukine is currently trying to detach Yato from his leg when he looks at you for help.

"(Y/N)! Help. Me. Please." He pleads. You flick Yato's forehead and he flies back in pain.

"(Y/N). You're so mean." He mumbles. Yukine gives you a thankful glance.

"I don't know why he's like this. All of a sudden he just came home and instantly started to cry." Yukine tells you. Yato is rubbing where you flicked him.

You sigh. "It's all my fa-" You're cut off by a massive roar. Yato jumps up and starts running outside.

"Come, Sekki!" He yells. Yukine swimmers, turning into a long, thin sword with cloth wrapped around the handle.

"Woah." You gasp. You join Yato outside as Kofuku comes out with Daikoku. You then identify where the roar came from.

A phantom the size of a boat was resting in the air. It had a bright purple body, grey spots on its bony spine, and white eyes. It had clawed fingers that were a few feet away from its body. Its tail was coiled up but kept twitching, as if expecting an attack.

"Leave this to me, Kofuku. We don't need another one of your wholes opening up." Yato tells the pink-haired god as he jumps toward the creature. You wish you could do something, but you had no master and Mei warned you not to use your sword form.

Daikoku grabs Kofuku's and your hand, pulling you inside as he draws a boundary line. The phantom screeches once it sees the bright light, making Yato waver on its back.

"Yato!" You yell and try to go help him but Kofuku holds you back.

"(Y/N)! There's nothing you can do!" She exclaims just as the phantom bites Yato's lower half. Tears start streaming down your face as you break away from Kofuku. You have to help... you just have to!
