"For you, I'd steal the stars."

The night was silent other then sound of my sisters light breathing. I didn't expect to get much sleep. Even when my limbs feel like they might fall off from exhaustion, my mind keeps me up. Very slowly and silently I move from out of the bed. Grabbing my cloak I walk outside and go to the roof.

Sitting on the roof my eyes find the sky.
It's not long until sunrise, I give it an hour at most. The night sky is pitch black making the stars shine. Closing my eyes and releasing a long deep breath, I feel my shoulders relax.

I lied, I do wish for a better world. I want a world better than this one so bad, it hurts.
I wish everything could go back to how it used to be. I wish I could wake up, and be back in our old home. But that will never happen.
Things will never be what they were. It's time I let this stupid dream go because that is all it is, a stupid dream.
Time to face reality.

As I feel the hope that I had clung onto for so many years leave me, a tear runs down my cheek. and a wave of whole nothingness consumes me.

Opening my eyes. I wipe the tear away and head back inside before sunrise.

The trampled snow covered the village road, having brown and blacks spots from passing carts and horses. I hear Nesta and Elain click their tongues and grimaced as we walk along it, dodging the particularly disgusting parts. I suppress my smile, some things never change. The only reason why they decided to join us, was to get their share.

We haven't made up, so the walk is very quiet. Not that I mind,  much prefer their silence to their complaints . Although Nesta woke up at dawn to chop the wood, doubt an apology for yesterday. She chopped the wood today because she knew we were going to sell the hide at the market, coming home with money in our pockets.
