After the years of knowing each other, Dream had the chance to introduce Faye to Puffy and Foolish. The mother was as always welcoming while Foolish was a bit hesitant.

That didn't stop Dream from seeing her though, he found himself meeting her at the poppy field everyday, that was until he met new people.

Faye was sitting peacefully at the field when Dream arrived. She listened about his new friends, a small smile appearing on her face as he continued.

Faye couldn't help but feel the excitement going through him. But she did feel as though this was the start, and it did.

Dream would only see Faye a few times a week because he was hanging out with his friends. He wanted to introduce her but every time she changed the subject.

In the end Faye got used to the fact that Dream took turns between her and his friends. He would disappear for a maximum of three days but this time, she didn't expected how long it was gonna be.

That time Faye felt something off, she knew it was gonna be the last, what with what's happening at her home and the way it seems, she just knew. Dream and her were walking past the familiar trees towards the tree line.

Dream turned to her, "You okay?" he asked. Faye sent him a smile, "You know how thankful I am I met you right?"

He looked at her confused but nodded, "Yeah. Are you okay? Are you feeling okay?" he asked worriedly. She chuckled and nodded, "Yeah of course. I'm just gonna miss you that's all." She admitted.

Dream chuckled to himself and shrugged, "I mean of course you would-" she snickered making him laugh. Pulling her in his arms she sighed as she hugged back.

"Be safe out there okay?" she asked. He nodded and kissed her head, "You know I always am." He muttered.

When they pulled away they stared at each other. Dream was always mesmerized by her bluish green eyes, it was one of the most beautiful things in the world, like the sunrise and sunset.

Dream said his good byes, the ratsack on his shoulders and was starting to walk away when she stopped him.

He chuckled and grabbed her hands, "Faye... I'm coming back." He said. She nodded, "I know. Just be safe please." She said.

He nodded, "I will be. And I'll be home soon, knowing you'll be waiting for me." He said making her smile.

Pulling something out from her satchel, "Keep this will you? Take care of it until we see each other again." She said staring at him.

Dream furrowed his eyebrows, there was something else behind her stare but he didn't want to dwell on it. He was already running late so he accepted the poppy, placing it carefully in his pocket and kissing her head again before saying goodbye and walked away.

Faye watched, a dropping feeling in her chest and she sighed, she can only hope he'll understand one day. He will right?
