Faye skipped through the woods of Dream's home and back to the one close to hers. She had just visited Puffy and Foolish again.
Despite Dream going away for a week with his new friends, that didn't stop the young lady to visit the family she started to get fond of.
Not knowing what really was happening with hers.
The moments she walked through the vines of their humble home she was welcomed with chaos.
The people of the small village were running around. There wasn't any fire, no raid or attack but it was still in chaos.
She walked further in the village when finally someone acknowledged her. "Faye. Your mother."

The young redhead didn't waste time to rush to the biggest house of their village.
When she entered the room where her mother was staying at, her heart dropped to the floor at the sight.
"Mother?" she whispered. The woman who laid in the bed turned and smiled, "Faye..." the redhead felt her feet lift off the floor, the fluttering feeling and the relief from her back.
"Look at those beautiful wings." Her mother whispered as Faye floated to her. Her wings going limp, "My beautiful Faye." The woman said.
"Mother, please." Faye said as tears appeared on her eyes. "I waited for you to back my child. I knew you were visiting them. Despite being forbidden that is."
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left-" "Your happiness comes first before me." Her mother cut her off.
Faye shook her head, "You needed me." "And I needed you to be happy." "Don't leave. Please."
The mother gripped her hand, "Our time in this world is short. The world is cruel to us. And my time is up."
"But I don't know what to do mother." Faye said. The mother smiled at her, "They will protect as they did to me. As you will do to them."
Faye nodded and interlaced their fingers. "Promise me you will do your job. Our family has and you will too." She nodded as she felt the magic course through her. Her mother was leaving.
"Take care of her please." The mother said as she looked up to the two adults in the room.
"Mother? Mother. Please." She said as the tears fell. She cried as the magic flowed through her. The room glowed, the light coming from her wings, she was changing.
It felt like forever until the light disappeared her once light pink translucent wings turned a beautiful yellow glittery pair.
Suddenly the door opened, "Faye." The fairy stood up and turned, her feet not once landing on the ground.
Her blue eyes found the brown ones she knew all her life. "George." She then turned to the two adults and bowed, her wings fluttering, not letting her feet touch the floor.
"My Queen and King. I am Faye, the master fairy of your kingdom her to serve."

Faye fluttered as George stood beside her. The rest of the village stood behind them as the king and queen pushed Faye's mother's body off the cliff.
As fairies funerals goes, the hammock that carried her mother floated in the air and George let go of Faye's hand.
Her feet finally planting on the ground for the first time ever since her mother died.
Walking off the cliff, she walked in the air. Following after her mother's body, once in a clear distance, the shooting star passed and Faye let out a breath.
Opening her palms, strings of bright light coursed from her mother's body and to her.
She closed her eyes as her the body disappeared and the hammock fell. Her wings fluttered for her not to fall.
Floating back to the edge of the cliff where George was waiting, she frowned, "I thought you were off with your friends." She sad.
George hummed and interlocked his fingers behind his back, "Family is more important than silly land stealers."
She chuckled and nodded, "Well then my prince, lead the way."
