Chapter 4

"What happened?" Romy woke up in a bed she had not stayed in before and started to freak out. She made sure she was still clothed and sighed in relief when she noticed she was. The events of last night came flooding back and she smiled at the memories biting her nails. Dancing with Eggsy, laughing with him, drinking with him, talking with him all of it was just so much fun. Eggsy he's just so many things to Romy. He's family, he's a friend and maybe he was something more, something Romy couldn't figure out just yet. But she would soon know, that Eggsy was all she ever needed.

"Knock knock?" Eggsy said whilst opening the door he stopped and looked at Romy laughing.

"Boy do you look rubbish." Romy laughed and threw a pillow at him.

"I'm hungover leave me alone." She giggled and she hated herself for it as her head pounded at the sound.

"That is why my love, I come baring aspirin and a bottle of water." He sat himself down on the bed in front of her as she sat up and took the aspirin and water from him.

"Thank you." Romy said but it wasn't just for the aspirin it was for everything he's done for her. He's become a part of her life, she never had many friends after everything went down hill and now he's helping her lift herself back up and she is so grateful for him.

"It's not a problem Romy. Now come on get up and get ready."

"What?! Why?" Romy cuddled into the blankets, "Why don't we just lay in bed all day, eat junk and watch movies." Romy pulled Eggsy beside her and burrowed her head into his chest, trapping him into her arms.

"As much as I would love to stay in this position all day you have to go into Kingsman today, you have another task to complete."

"Why the hell did you take me out drinking the night before one of these test things?!" Romy frantically pushed him off her and jumped out of the bed.

"Because I was trying to be spontaneous, besides you had fun and you've had some aspirin, you should be all good in half an hour." Romy rolled her eyes at Eggsy.

"Alright but we've got to stop at Macca's for some breakfast along the way." Romy said rubbing her eyes putting on her temporary Kingsman uniform which she sometimes leaves at Eggsy's place.

"Macca's what the hell is that?"

"Right I always forget that my foreign lingo confuses people. It just means McDonald's."

"Ahh yes, well we better hurry then."

After snacking on their breakfast Romy made it to the next test in time, this required to jump out of a plane and land on a target. Okay sure this sounds easy enough right? Just pull the right cord before you hit the ground and you'll be good. Romy was freaking out, she'd never gone skydiving before and the thought of jumping out of a plane with the feeling of having no control is really getting to her.

"Romy, you'll be fine I promise you." Jake said taking a hold of her hand and giving to a squeeze to try and comfort her.

"Thanks Jake, can't be too hard right?"

"Right." He smiled encouragingly and soon the pilot gave them all the go to jump. Romy could hear Merlin speak into her ears as one by one they jumped. Romy was left to last to jump. She could feel the hash browns coming up from her stomach and shook it away. Eyes squeezed shut she jumped and started free falling at such a quick pace, soon enough she was laughing and zooming around having the best time of her life.

"This isn't even hard Merlin! You could have come up with something a little more difficult." Romy laughed.

"Oh I did forget to mention that one of you do not actually have a parachute. Also you might want to figure out that one quickly because you're nearing closer and closer to the ground, also do not forget about landing on that target if you don't you'll be sent home."

"Oh for fuck's sake Merlin." Romy cussed, everyone started freaking out, worrying who has the faulty parachute.

"Guys stop let's get in a circle and one by one pull our chutes and whoever it is we hold onto them, okay?" They all agreed and they glided into formation, soon enough a few started to freak out and pulled their chutes too early. Soon enough it was just Romy and Jake remaining.

"Jake on the count of three the two of us will trigger our chutes whilst holding tightly onto the other person, whoever doesn't have the chute hold tightly to them and never let them go okay?" He nodded to afraid to say any words.

"Okay 1." Romy could see that they were getting closer and closer to the ground, they needed to pull their chutes now.

"2 and 3." They both pulled the chutes at the exact same time and were both suddenly pulled into the air by their own parachutes. Romy was furious.

"You fucking liar Merlin." She exclaimed whilst the two landed gracefully onto the target.

"I am quite impressed with your teamwork and that you landed on the target although I was hoping Romy that you would have figured out that I was lying about the parachutes." Romy crossed her arms rolling her eyes at him, angry at what he did.

Merlin continued to say some bullshit Romy had turned down her hearing aid not really wanting to listen to him. Someone tapped on her shoulder she turned to see it was Jake. She turned her hearing aid up and gave him the "what do you want?" look.

"There's only three of us left now, Meredith, you and me."

"Meredith? As in that bitch Meredith that was all like, ooh you're that runner that basically failed at life ooh Meredith."

"Yep the one and only."

"Oh fucking shoot me now."

**

"You might as well as just live here Romy." Eggsy said as I plonked myself onto the couch next to him.

"True but let's not make any commitments until I'm actually in Kingsman."

"Trust me, you'll get in, I mean I never even passed all of the trials and here I am."

"You didn't pass all the trials? Then how the hell did you get in?"

"I basically saved the world."

"Oh great so that's what I have to rely on if I don't pass all the trials, oh gee thanks."

"You'll pass the trials, you're smarter than I am and you'll figure it all out in the end."

Romy pondered as she watched Kuzco get turned into a llama.

"Eggsy, when you did the first trial where the water flooded?"

"Yeah Romy, what about it?"

"Did they just let one of their Kingsman die, just so they can see who the best kid is?"

"No, she didn't die, I mean we all thought she was dead but no she wasn't."

"Hmm curious." Romy was starting to piece things together, no one actually dies on these trials. It really is just a scare tactic because when face with death our true selves are shown.

Romy cuddled into Eggsy's side and he placed his arm around her bringing her in closer.

"You've got nothing to worry about Romes, that I can promise you."
