"The dragons are going to shift and take flight. Backup can have their dragons fly directly after we give the signal." Alpha Lee screamed inside our heads. They had just taken a swim of about two kilometers to reach the ship. And to swim such a long distance would have depleted their energy.
But Lee was a determined alpha. He always told us that his asian blood had a lot of survival stamina. We used to laugh it out but it was true. He showed a lot of endurance when we trained together. He knew how to utilize his own body to survive better. It was his training that was now even working for us. Alpha Lee was a strategic planner, cool and calm like the buddha, you couldn't tell his emotions quickly. His collective and calm demeanor worked perfectly to hide his emotions from others.
I saw the wolves helping the dragons to jump on their back to take their flight, shifting in air, struggling because of the water wetting their wings. Their movement caught the attention of the people on the deck as they leaned over the railings. The dragons screeched as they flew over the ship, eyeing their predators.
"Now!" Alpha Lee ordered. The dragons willed their fire and burned the steering compartment first. Chaos happened as the ones on the deck ran to safety. One dragon dealt with them as the other helped his team up on the ship. Immediately they started to take down the hunters, turning them to dead corpses. The wolves shifted and ran inside the ship in search of innocents.
"Rogues and commoners!" One of the vampires shouted as he ran to rescue them. A huge blast came from the screen as they stumbled and searched for balance.
"Let the backup team fly!" Alpha Lee screamed through the link as I caught him taking down the hunters one after the other.
Durga's team on the other hand were still fighting with their lives as the backup had arrived. Cleo was currently looking into her team and unfortunately we already had one loss of life.
Shutting my eyes and regretting that this shouldn't have happened I took the responsibility of his death upon me. Focusing back on Lee I tried to keep my wolf in control. She knew it was killing me to sit here and see her people die. Making an appearance through my eyes, she helped me fulfill the work at hand.
"Easy, my love." Indigo linked me, his voice calming and the softest I had ever heard. I didn't know what to say to him. He knew I needed to stay focused, knowing I was hurting. The bond wasn't going to make it less to show him my feelings even if I tried to block him.
I decided not to reply to him because I knew he would understand. I just couldn't say anything back. It was one death and it was becoming heavy on my heart.
"There aren't many hunters here. They must've thought this place was safe for them. But there are dozens of rogues, more than the commoners!" Alpha Lee informed.
"Send in boats before the ship begins sinking. We rescue all of them!" I roared, not knowing why I wanted to save the rogues as well. I didn't want to but with my wolf on the surface, I knew she had something in her mind. She was never really wrong with her decisions.
"What?" Lee questioned. He didn't like the idea.
"Just please do as I say. I'll explain later." I told him and came in terms with my wolf to let me take over. I had plenty of things to deal with and my wolf at the surface wasn't helping. Not that I'd ignore her decisions. I knew she had things in her mind for a reason and I was going to trust my bitch one hundred percent.
"Okay." Lee replied, pondering over my decision first. They began taking the captured souls out.
Lee roared all of a sudden when a vampire from his team pulled a rogue girl out of her confinements. "What the fuck are you doing?"
