Indigo came home around past three. All of them had left by then. I was putting things in place after I adjusted Violet on the couch and put a blanket on her. He went to sit on the couch next to her and stroked her hair with a smile. It automatically brought a smile to my lips, it was so endearing to watch.

“My pup is so cute and pretty.” He said, his wolf on the surface.

“She is.” I said, softly. “Go put her to bed and make sure to shut the window. It’s cold out today.”

Indigo did as I said as he picked her up and took her upstairs. I prepared two drinks for us and set up some snacks. Putting a scented candle on the table next to our drinks I heard him come down.

Coming towards me swiftly, he sat down and caught my lips with his, his hands holding my face in a way that I shouldn't pull back from him. Why would I ever?

One hard kiss left me breathless, he pulled back. “I love you.” Indigo said, our bodies still close, forehead touching and lips only a minute distance away.

I didn’t know what to say. My mouth couldn’t form the words to say it back to him. I don’t know why I held back from saying it. It was killing me.

“Shhh..” Indigo said, breathing against my lips. “I told you, you don’t have to say it out of force or pity. I know you’re already mine.” He kissed me again and let me know that he was true to his words.

I don’t know why I still needed time. I loved him. I did but I didn’t want to say it out loud. Yet. My wolf felt the same. She didn’t push me in any way to just please her mate for time's sake. We wanted it to be honest.

Pulling back he looked me in the eyes, smiling at me like it was just me in this entire universe.

Goddess! I could've broken right there!

“You’re prepared.” He said, kissing the top of my head and then picking up a glass.

“Yeah I..” I began but he continued.

“This is not going to affect your punishment tonight.” He said and took a sip.

My insides set ablaze, making my body shudder even with the thought of him doing things to me. “Indigo.” I shied and pushed his shoulders, my cheeks red as I hurriedly picked up my glass and took a sip.

Indigo chuckled but pulled me close. “So, tell me. You said you have plenty of things to tell me.” He sat back on the couch with me in his left arm.

“Just a minute.” He said and pulled the blanket from behind us that I had used to cover Violet. He pulled it over us and sunk back on the couch, pulling me close to him again. The sparks that grew at every touch were so beautiful, I wanted them to ignite more and more. The effect they had on us and the bond was so precious, I just couldn't run away even if I wanted to.

“Sweet.” I giggled and kissed his cheek.

He winked and asked me to continue, pulling me more close to him. “So the other day I introduced Violet to Cleo and Sarah.” I thought I should let him know.

“Uhhuhh…” He nodded, taking another sip.

“She was dancing about being the first human to see two vampires.” I quickly added because I don’t think he liked the idea.

“I’m just worried about her, not angry at you.” He said, looking down at me with a small smile.

“When are you going to ask her about Ambrose?” I asked.
