CHAPTER 40: A date

I was done talking to Durga that night itself. She repeated the same story probably ten times already. Poor girl was frustrated and started asking me questions. I told her it was related to the wolves we found. Durga was harder to convince so I just took Cleo’s help. He knew about Violet and was easy to deal with. He backed me up.

Indigo was in a sullen mood until Violet came home. He had cooked for her and he even fed her. Sometimes, I felt helpless, that I couldn’t help Indigo help her. We knew with Violet we were going to experience a lot of things. But things like these were really knocking our brains out. After he put her to bed, he came down to our room.

“You still wanna go?” I asked him. He was taking me on a date tomorrow and with both of our moods we were having second thoughts. I just couldn’t stop thinking about the dream. It played in my head on repeat.

“Yes!” Indigo said, “We need to stop thinking and the best way is to spend some time together. I’ll go crazy if I play all the things in my head again and again.” Indigo said as he opened the cupboard. “What you wearing?” He asked. I was sitting on the vanity table, combing my hair. I got up and stood next to him.

“You choose.” I said, kissing him on the cheeks.

He smiled, rummaging through my dresses. He flipped each of them and pulled out a light golden camisole top, holding it in front of me. “Hmm. this one. What goes under this?” He asked.

I looked through my stuff and remembered buying a side ripped skirt. I searched bending down and I knew I could feel Indigo grinning. I pulled out the skirt and accidentally bumped Indigo’s thighs.

“So a home date it is!” Indigo said, smacking my ass as I stood up.

I laughed. “No! We’re going.”

“Then behave.” He growled. I rolled my eyes at him.

“I’m wearing this.” I told him.

“What do I wear?”

“This.” I said, instantly grabbing a light blue shirt and pulling out a black jeans.

“Okay.” He nodded and closed the cupboard. He grabbed the clothes from my hands and put them aside. “Now about kissing the shit out of you.” he said and pulled me holding my waist and picking me up.

“What about it?” I asked, smiling, looking down at him.

He threw me on the bed and towered me. “Gotta keep the promise.” He whispered, putting his lips on mine. I moaned beneath him, pulling him closer.

We were ready and about to leave in a minute when we heard Violet coming down the stairs. She seemed to have just woken up.

"You guys are leaving so early." She asked as she made her way towards the kitchen.

"Yup. I'm taking Laura on a date." Indigo told her as he picked some keys from the drawer.

"Omg! Have fun you guys!" She said in her morning voice, pouring some water and drinking it.

"Will you be okay?" I asked her, just in case.

"More than okay. I'll have my friends come over. I need some peer pressure in my life." She laughed.

Indigo rolled his eyes as he walked towards her. "We'll be late." He kissed her forehead. "Don't leave the house without informing me first. Make what you want or just order." He told her, his hand still on her head.
