The song What's Up Danger from the first Spiderverse movie really describes Grandline's love for public fights if you wanted to give those lyrics a listen.

Another night, another five dollars about to be spent at a cafe down the street from NWU. (Y/N)'s been avoiding her college cafeteria as much as possible and, instead, gets her food from either the grocery store or a particular cafe she discovered while venturing out during the day. It's the only place she eats when she craves a hot meal not cooked by her hands. It came to a point where she began spending most of her refund money to eat there--too scared to try another place for fear it might taste like NWU's food.

Today, she decided to get some work done inside the cafe as their hours spanned all 24 of the day. The clock struck 1:00 AM on her watch, tilted as she sipped on a cup of hot chocolate with (F/F) in the other hand. Her eyes scanned the left corner of her Philosophy textbook, actually finding some of the ideas intriguing. Each ethical theory mostly dealt with an 'outsider' perspective which interested her because the philosophers they used were from Grandline City. She had no problem sleeping at night, for her medication usually put her to sleep, but she wanted to experience the cafe during their least busy hours. She could count on one hand how many students showed up this late, all requesting the same thing along with a small plastic cup of pills. They looked like they never got any sleep, with skin paler than a piece of paper and bloodshot eyes that could turn one to stone if they looked too long.

She was excited about her history class to finally learn the political history behind Grandline's fighting obsession. She's never heard of a modern society built off of public fighting, not since militia nations were a thing. Luffy being the center of it all with so many medals also put a thought into her head that he was making history at this moment. After all, she's never seen a fighter adorned with so many medals he couldn't keep them all in his dorm.

He had to be doing something significant. There was no way he acquired all of those trophies without a title. He's called Nika for a reason, and (Y/N) wanted to find out who this legend was along with why Luffy earned that title.
