Ogron used to love this part: the thrill of stripping a fairy of her magic, the sheer exhilaration as their energy surged through him.

But fairy by fairy, the enjoyment he got from it grew less and less until it became more of a mundane task than a pleasure. Even the chase was predictable and, quite frankly, painfully easy.

Still, he couldn't help but feel the least bit excited with this one- all their hard work over the past 100 years about to pay off.

~We have company~

His voice rang through their heads.

Of course, Gantlos knew this already.

Though he'd only been observing the blue haired girl for mere seconds, it felt like hours.

He had already absorbed every little detail about her: how her fingertips were calloused but her palms were completely smooth, how her breathing was irregular and panicked but her face showed no fear.

~She listens to her music far too loudly~

He said accidentally, picking up the small vibrations that emitted from her headset. Even though they had mastered telepathy over the past 100 years, Gantlos still slipped up sometimes.

~What?~

Anagan questioned.

~Nothing~

Anagan's gaze flicked confusedly to his brother but someone else caught his eye.

She was ethereal. Emerald eyes, silk pink dress, glistening green wings.

~Shit~

~You said it~

Duman replied, a hunger in his eyes. He looked down at the ground, smirking. It was always fun toying with fairies.

~Oh shit~

~Yeah, Anagan, you've said that alread-~

A blinding flash of green light smacked into Duman's chest, sending him flying backwards. He landed heavily amongst the fragments of splintered wood, pain searing through his body.

Their connection broken, the vortex began to disperse.

The screeching wind calmed and the dark clouds vanished, the sky returning to a deep orange colour as the sun disappeared behind the trees of the nearby park.

Roxy's body thudded to the ground. The sound echoed hollowly around the car park.

Music still pulsed distantly from inside the bar, waves still crashed rhythmically on the shore as if nothing had happened.

The green aura faded slightly from Flora's hands, as she landed gently next to Musa, but still lingered faintly as her face pinched in concentration.

Duman grunted, pushing himself up off the ground and brushing the splinters off his arms.

He walked to slowly to join the others, anger burning in the pit of his stomach.

Glowering at the fairy who had made a fool of him, his fingernails dug sharply into his palms and his lips drew back into an animalistic snarl.

"Well, this is unexpected." Ogron broke the silence.

His voice came across sly and cool, but Musa detected the slightest trace of annoyance within it.

"I'm sorry about that friend of yours."

Flora shivered at the intensity of his eyes and felt herself step back.

"You will be." Musa grimaced.

The glowing in Flora's hands began to intensify as she readied an attack, but she was interrupted by a cold hand on her arm. She glanced to her left to see Musa, her closed eyes twitching slightly, concentrating- no- listening.
