C H A P T E R 3

Everyone starts doing their own thing I lay down to get a "sun tan" but really I was just tired because I had barely slept last night. I'm a dumbass for that, I rarely ever get the recommended amount of sleep.
"Wake up sleepyhead" she pokes me lightly on the back
"Huh" I open my eyes to see Tammy standing next to me

"Everyone else is swimming, you know having a good time." I look over to a large group of kids having an "extreme" game of water volleyball.

"I was just sun tanning."
"More like sun burning, I can literally see you turning red."

"Oh, I didn't put any sunscreen on."
"Sometimes, you can be a bit of a dumbass robin." She tosses the sunscreen over to me,
I put it on. shit, I can't get it in my back eh I'll be fine whatever.
Tammy looks over at me "do you need me to help you get sunscreen on your back?"

"What?"
"Well I know how hard it is to you know get sunscreen on your back" she laughs
"Sure if you want to."

She's going to think your gross.

She moves closer to me and puts the sunscreen on my back she's so gentle.
"Done" she smiles
"Are you going to get in the pool?" Tammy asked
"No, I don't want to."
"Scaredy-cat. Why would you come to a pool and not swim?" she laughs shoving my side a bit.

"I am not a scaredy-cat." I get up and walk over to the edge yes I do know how to swim, I don't know why I was being such a scared little bitch, it's not like the water will hurt me or anything.

"Watch I'll jump in just give me a second."
"I'll count for you then three..... two..."
"Wait," I say looking into the pool "it's going to be cold and I don't want to get my h"
Tammy gives me a shove into the water before I could even finish my sentence, felt the freezing ice cold water on my skin.
"What the hell Tammy!" I say jokingly half not.

Moments later Tammy jumps in and splashes me with even more water.
"Oh I see how it is"
I use all of my arms force to splash her with as much water as I can.
Then again I splash and again I splash.
"Oh your on." she splashes me with a huge wave of ice-cold water. then we both began splashing each other at random times, soon the whole gang starts joining in. And the day goes by fast, very fast.

I had forgotten to be nervous all of the bad thoughts drifting away from my mind.

We order ice cream, I get s'mores she gets strawberry. The others get nachos at the food stand me and Tammy sit next to each-other
"Brain freeze aghhh" she laughs we continue to eat are ice cream and joke.
Tammy has some ice cream on her nose "you have something on your nose" I chuckle

I wipe it off her nose with my finger she smiles at me.
After ice cream we watch all the weird creepy moms stare at billy as he's getting down from the lifeguard stand, I was most surprised to see Mrs wheeler there doesn't she have kids?

We sunbathe, we talk we gossip, and we swim all up until to swimming pool is closing by now all of Tammy's friends had left so, it was just us, neither of us had our licenses so we had just decided to walk.

"I had so much fun today," I said
"Yeah I did, I mean your amazing"
"Thank you," I say looking down at the ground so she can't see me blushing.
"You were too."
We talk nearly the whole way to my house luckily are houses were pretty close to each other.
"Bye Robby!"
"Bye tam!"

I walk inside and plop onto my bed if I know one thing today was the best day ever.
