C H A P T E R 8

We both walk back into Nancy's bedroom, Nancy is sitting on her bed she's still so pretty except this time she's in her pink pokie dot pajamas
"Nice pajamas nance what are you six?" Steve says jokingly. Nancy rolls her eyes.
"S-so did Tammy leave?" I ask. Steve puts his arm around me in a comforting way, Nancy looks surprised.

"Yeah, so did Will actually." "So about the sleep setup, I'm a little confused about that." She says looking up at her bed and then to the floor
"Oh easy, robin and you share the bed and I get the floor." I flash Steve a what the fuck did you just say look.
"That sounds good! I might have an air mattress for you somewhere Steve, or you could sleep downstairs on the couch?"

"I'll go to the couch Buh bye ladies!" He says backing out of the room door slowly I peek my head out and flip him off so he can just see. He just makes a heart with his hands as I reply and walks down the stairs. I turn back to the room where Nancy is, and I grab my bag.

"Shit," I say looking it into my bag. I spill out everything in my bag and began to search
"What's wrong?"
"I forgot my pajamas at my house, I'm a dumbass." I look up over to Nancy who is now going through her closet she finally takes out an ugly long blue nightgown.
"Here you can wear this!" She hands the ugly thing and I don't want to be rude but what I said might come across as mean.

"Nance this is the ugliest shit I've ever seen." She rolls her eyes and looks at me

"It's either that or you sleep in your underwear, but hey it's not up to me!" She tries to take the pajamas

"I'll take option one, but I know you want option two." I wink she looks surprised maybe even flustered? I don't know. I walk out of the room and back Into the bathroom.

Wow, I look like shit, You could definitely tell that I had been crying earlier.

I get in the pajamas and walk back into Nancy's room Africa by Toto is playing on the stereo "ooo yes nance I love this song, I plop down onto the bed."
Nancy laughs at me
"What?" I say looking at her. She looks me up and down

"You in that dress looks funny."
"You bet your ass I do." I get up and starts using Nancy's hair brush as a microphone.

"It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you" I belt out while giving my best dance move which probably looks silly because I'm just jumping and clapping my hands around like a maniac.

"There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do," Nancy says sitting on her bed. Her voice is soft and angelic, she sways her arms to the beat

"I bless the rains down in Africa" I sing and grab Nancy's hands and lift her from the bed. And force her into a twirl we take turns to spin around.

"Gonna take some time to do the things we never had" I take her hand swinging her around and then we jump to the beat

"Ooooh ooo-." Suddenly a dark-haired boy enters the room. It's mike again.
"Can you guys shut the hell up?" He says looking at us
"Shut up mike!" Nance yells at Mike he slowly goes out of the room

"Mike is so annoying," I say
"Yeah." Nancy plops down onto her bed and I lay next to her. We're both laying down next to each other laughing and out of breath.

NANCY POV

I think I've had the funniest night of my entire life. Robin is Someone Else, Someone Special. I felt something that night when she was dancing, and when both started dancing. Now we're both laying on my bed laughing and out of breath. We make eye contact I look into her beautiful blue eyes, I could get lost in them forever.

I don't know what is it I'm feeling, but I'm not gay currently not I Have a boyfriend, and she is just a very pretty lady.
