It was the lunch break. And for the first time in my life, I was sat with people.
Minghao and Y/N. Y/N and Minghao. I was sat on one side of the table while they were sat on the opposite. They were talking, but I couldn't focus on that. I focused on the smiles on their faces, especially Y/N's, and how they bumped shoulders, laughed and sometimes threw food at each other.
I wasn't included in the conversation, but I still enjoyed being there. I was finally sat, eating lunch with people. People who invited me to be there. People who knew who I was.
The envy was creeping up slightly, but every time Minghao or Y/N looked at me, and every time Y/N smiled at me, it went away. She was pretty, really pretty. And, she is also a friend. A pretty friend.
I looked at my watch and noticed that it was 1:55p.m. My photography class started at 2:00p.m. So, I packed up my stuff and stood up. And, as I was about to turn around, I felt a hand grab my wrist. I turned around to see Y/N there, smiling her pretty smile.
She was saying something, but all I could focus on was the feeling of our skin touching, and how it tingled.
She waved her free hand in front of me, and I focused again.
'Are you going to class? I could walk you there?'
She wants to walk with me, someone she met 45 minutes beforehand, to class.
Someone wanted to walk me to class. A pretty, and smart girl wanted to walk me to class.
I nodded before even thinking about my answer, and she smiled again. I liked her smile, I really did. And I wanted to see her smile more.
She turned to Minghao, and he nodded before she picked up her bag and rushed to my side, indicating for me to begin walking. I turned to Minghao and waved at him. He waved back, but he didn't smile like he usually did. I thought he was tired as we had a lot of study classes that day.
Y/N was talking while we walked to my class, but I couldn't understand what she was saying. I couldn't figure out the feeling that was running through my body. I felt warmth, and happiness. I felt like smiling because she was smiling.
She still had that smile on her face. her smile always reached to her eyes, making it look even more genuine. She was happy to be around me that day. She didn't feel forced to walk me to class, she actually wanted to. She liked being around me.
I couldn't think too much about it. She had only met me that day, we didn't even confirm if we were friends or not.
But I can't help but wonder if she was feeling the same way that I was.
