It's weird to think how everyone has a different hometown. Everyone has streets that they've driven on thousands of times, and the people they've known forever. Stiles knew every inch of this town and knew he needed to show Lydia all of his special spots. There was something about her that made him want to share these places.
Stiles was a night owl and often spent his time driving around at night when the world was fast asleep.
"You're telling me that you're getting a coffee at 10 p.m. ?" Lydia asked in a tone that made Stiles laugh. "I can't help the caffeine addiction, unfortunately it has been a thing since sophomore year of high school. Chemistry started that for me." he said.
After gearing up on snacks and drinks at a gas station, Stiles started the car and started driving. Everything felt so natural.
"I just wanted to say thank you again. For you know... helping me earlier." Lydia said as she looked at Stiles's side profile. "I don't know what would've happened to me if you hadn't proceeded to kick his ass."
Stiles laughed. But then he felt a sort of sadness. It saddened him that this wasn't the expected reaction from men. He didn't know if it was because he had a sister that he would do anything for or if he just hated toxic masculinity but he knew he would have done it for everyone. It just helped that Lydia was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
"If I had to go back and do it again, I would... every single time." Stiles said as he looked Lydia right in the eyes. The car was suddenly parked. "Lucky you, we've made it to our first destination. Let's go Miss Martin."
Lydia unbuckled her seatbelt and hopped out of the Jeep, eager to spend more time with him.
