/This Chapter comes from the Forbidden Book: The Secret Past of Dresus. The author is unknown, and the knowledge is still forbidden. However, it will be added to The Book Of Truth to teach a lesson to all present and future High Priests./

The High Priest Magna was praying to God one day, in the Church. However, during this prayer, the mortal let slip the secret of Dresus. God, unaware of who this man was, demanded to be told more. It ripped the knowledge from the Priest's mind and found out the truth - how Highest Advisor, Aspectum, had gone behind it's back and had let the child be stolen. Not only that, but Dresus was Aspectum's son, meaning that they had let a partungod be taken.

God was furious when it found out that, not only had Dresus never been introduced to it, but the man also had the ability to bring people back to life.

God set out to find Dresus. It did, finding the man where he rested, and it
brought him into the heavens. God was livid and fueled with hateful rage. The High Priest accompanied it to the
heavens and was made to hold the poor Dresus down as God destroyed his soul, and rid him of his magic. It promised Dresus he would be fine, sending him
back down to Earth to give the High Priest some sense of peace.

However, God was not finished with him. It hunted Dresus down and slaughtered his husk for fun. God does not tolerate disobedience and trickery behind it's back. God is absolute.

After God killed Dresus's husk, it taunted the High Priest with that fact, using the practically corpse as a puppet. The Priest was devastated and begged God to bring him back. God gave into the pleading and it brought back Dresus' soul from the Impossible Void, restoring his husk and placing him back into a newly restored body. That's why he has green lines on his face - it shows his revival.

Although he managed to maintain some power, it was shaky and never quite compared to his peak.

God told High Priest Magna that any more secrets would result in the world's crippling. Dresus lived, deeply scarred both physically and emotionally from the torment he had been through and God displayed both its rage and mercy.
