Diamonté's POV

I walked upstairs to my old bedroom and immediately went to the bed. My room was just the same as I left it two years ago. There really wasn't much to it because I've been building my own home here.

I was really excited about it because it was finally finish after five years and all that was left for me to do it to move in.

Well not really

I've been sending a lot of stuff to my mom's house over the last three years. She basically furnished the house because I trusted her interior tastes.

All I've seen was photos of the house and I couldn't wait to finally move in and make it my home.

I took my phone out my bag and texted nanna to let her know the I had arrived and that all was well.

When I woke up in the morning I did my morning routine and went downstairs to find my mother in the living room watching TV.

" Good morning my baby," she smiled greeting me.

You woulda neva guess seh is a 25 year old she a talk to. Always wanna treat me like I'm a kid.

"Good morning........ Moriah," I answered. I made sure to call her by her first name so she would catch an attitude.

She looked at me with a serious face and said, " you think you big?"

I sat down in the chair in front of her with my legs crossed and placed one of my arms under my chin and answered, " Mi nuh think mi big, I am big Moriah."

My mom started laughing and she threw one of the throw pillows on me.

" Where is padre?" I asked looking at her with a confused look on my face.

" Him deh dung a big yaad............ You know seh a fi him quartaz that already"

" Oh okay"

I got up and went to the kitchen to have breakfast, which I decided on french toast with fruits and a cup of mint tea.

" Monté" Kayda called looking at me and smiling.

" I'm surprised to see you here"

" Why nuh mi family yaad mi deh"

" Mi know you always deh a such man yaad which why I was surprised."

"Girl gots her own house and girl gots her own car"

" BAP BAP BAP............. Love to see it sis...... Far we a come from and I love that we are all in our elements and elevating."

" Yes mi dear............... Uncle set mi up real nice."

Kayda and I were cousins not only that but we were best friends since birth even though I was one year older that her. My dad and her dad are brothers and they are inseparable just like Kayda and myself.

We grew up together and went to the same primary school but went to different high schools were we focused on different career paths.

After graduating from St. Hugh's high school she went to University of the West Indies to major in marketing.

She graduated with a bachelor's degree and was doing really well for herself.

Kayda was one of Jamaica's top influencers and she got a lot of sponsorship and brand deals for just being herself. She also had a YouTube channel and she was now venturing of into clothing by creating her own brand.
