Diamonté's POV
I sit back in my chair watching my friends enter world war three. We were sitting in Starbucks at the AC hotel discussing our summer plans. Well it was more of an argument.
Sterling wanted us to go to Mexico after sandz while Kayda and Valencia wanted us to go to Aruba. It was up to me now to be the deciding factor.
" We can always chill inna mi backyard enuh," I jokingly say to them.
They all hissed their teeth and went back to conversing among themselves.
I got up walking to the restroom. When I entered I could hear sniffling in one of the stalls. As I entered an empty stall the girl came out using the back of her hand to dry her tears. Something fell from her and I looked to the ground to see the pic of an ultrasound. I quickly closed the door to the stall and do my business.
We left Starbucks and Kayda and I were heading back to my place. Valencia and Sterling both had work to get done so they left.
Upon approaching my gate I see a couple cars and a big truck parked up.
Wah dis? A wah di bloodclaat dis?
" Monté who dem deh?" Kayda ask a little scared.
One thing with Kayda even though she grew up in a rough neighbourhood and have big chat she couldn't fight. The irony, I know. I always have her back though.
I got your back bae.
" I don't know," I say stepping out of the car with Kayda following closely behind.
We walk up to a shiny black beemer and stop at the window. The window rolled down and I see that Andre is inside the car, then Patrick walked up to us. Oh it just my security detail.
" Good afternoon Ms. Carter," he spoke smoothly, looking dapper as always.
" Good afternoon gentleman."
" We have a delivery for you from your father."
I tilt my head to the side with a puzzling look on my face. I don't remember having a conversation with my father about this. Just in time my phone starts ringing in my hand and I see that it's my father. I swiped the screen to answer the call.
" Mija how are you liking the gift?" He gleamed at me.
" I haven't seen it yet," I answered my excitement already building.
Two men opened the back of the truck. I could see that it was a car and if I know my father it was going to be a spectacular choice.
" Turn around monté," Kayda said to me equally as excited.
I could hear the car reversing out the truck and it sounds like a beast. Kayda's loud expression gave me all the conformation I needed.
" BUMBOCLAAT MONTÉ DEM CYAH WUL YUH AGAIN!" She shouted.
I immediately turned around to see a satin black Lamborghini Urus.
" OMG DADDY, YOU REALLY BUY DIS FI MI!" I said barely containing my excitement.
Andre briefly looked at me with a weird expression but I caught him before he looked away.
I guess because I used the word daddy. I didn't care though, that's what I grew up calling my father so why should I change now because the world has given it a new meaning. I don't even understand how they came up with the idea of calling their partner daddy. I won't be apart of that crowd.
That you seh now my subconscious mocked.
I diverted my eyes back to the car. I was in disbelief. This was my car.
