"Nevada, 10:00 A.M"
Outside of Jasper's city limits lies a crater where a large chunk of gold colored Energon sat at the very bottom. A few miles away, Lazerbeak flies towards the crash site as he records live footage and reports it back to Soundwave on Cybertron.
"Cybertron"
In the control room, Starscream looks at Soundwave as he displays live footage from Lazerbeak on his visor.
Starscream: Yes!
The doors slide open as Barricade and Blackout walk into the control room.
Starscream: Barricade! Blackout! Prepare to move out and retrieve the Gold Energon on my signal!
Barricade: Yes, sir!
Starscream looks back at Soundwave as he continues watching the footage.
"10:05 A.M"
Lazerbeak descends from the sky and plants a tracking device on the bottom of the chunk of Gold Energon. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Bulkhead, Smokescreen, Wheeljack, Jazz, and Prowl hit a left before driving off the highway as they head in the direction of the Gold Energon's signal.
Starscream: "What is it, Soundwave?"
Soundwave's visor switches to the view of his radar systems as it picks eight incoming signals.
Starscream: *Growls in Anger* It's those accursed Autobots!
Back in the field, Lazerbeak ascends into the sky and flies off as the Autobots arrive at the crash site and transform.
Bumblebee: LAZERBEAK!
Bumblebee forms one of his hands into a Plasma Cannon as he fires a few blasts on Lazerbeak who dodges them left and right.
A spacebridge opens as Lazerbeak flies through before it closes.
Optimus Prime: Hmmm...
Prowl: What is it, Optimus?
Optimus bends down and picks up the chunk of Gold Energon from the crater.
Smokescreen: What is that?
Optimus Prime: Gold Energon!
Optimus taps his earpiece.
Optimus Prime: Optimus Prime to base! Do you read me?
Ratchet: "Loud and clear, Optimus! What is it?"
Optimus Prime: The signal you've been tracking belongs to Gold Energon!
Ratchet: "Gold Energon you say?"
Optimus Prime: Indeed! Lock on to our coordinates and activate the groundbridge!
A groundbridge opens as the Autobots walk through and return to base.
"Autobot Base, 10:10 A.M"
In the laboratory, Ratchet examines a sample of the Gold Energon underneath a microscope as Optimus stands back.
Optimus Prime: Do you have a clue where this form of energon may have come from?
Ratchet: Afraid not. The origins of Gold Energon are unknown for the most part and there have been a handful of recordings of it, the last of them being documented during the time when the Quintessons ruled over Cybertron which was nearly 950,000 years ago.
Ratchet turns around and faces Optimus.
Optimus Prime: Do you know of its effects on Cybertronian biology?
