Chapter Sixteen: "Proposal Pt. 2"

Michael's POV

I decided to take a little break from work, and to take Vanessa out to get some fresh air since we've been in the house all week. I thought," Let's go to the beach " I remembered to pack the engagement ring last time we got interrupted by discovering that Vanessa is pregnant I hope this is the perfect time to propose. I mean a lot of people propose on the beach, so why not?. Vanessa, had her fingers intertwined with mine as we walked along the shoreline the sun's rays were beaming down upon us giving us that vitamin D that we needed the wind was mild not too extra the temperature was warm enough usually it would be like humid and you couldn't really be out here long I like that today was perfect.

I made us pause in our steps Vanessa looked at me puzzled I still had her hand in mine the I crouched down on one knee with her hand at eye level in front of me. I saw Vanessa's eyes grew wide as she gained excitement I reached into my pocket I pulled out the tiny engagement ring box before I opened I began to say these heartfelt words to Vanessa.

"Vanessa Billiana Miller, I know that I haven't been the best first impression. When I saw you the first day you started working for me something in me changed something I didn't think would ever change, but you helped me. The moment I heard your voice I was complete now your having my baby, and I want to make us a real family. Would you do me a favor and make me the most happiest man in the world? Marry me." I said gazing long into her brown eyes I opened up the ring box to unveil a diamond studded ring.

"Yes, Michael Joesph Jackson I will indeed marry you." Vanessa said with pure excitement I slid the ring onto her ring finger I stood in front of her we engaged in a passionate kiss. After all the excitement of getting engaged, we went to a nice restaurant had dinner then went home.

While we were at home it was getting late, so Vanessa suggested we snuggle up on the couch and binge watch some of our favorite movies and TV shows. It's nice to be able relax from work and have some quality time with the woman I love. Plus since I own the business I can take the weekend off, too if I wanted. I know I'm still gonna be making money. I'm not too worried about it. Vanessa, began dozing off so did I we eventually called it a night and went to bed on the couch.

I can't wait to start this new chapter in my life specially with Vanessa and our first child. I hope we last. I'm not doubting our bond maybe a little bit, but I know for a fact she's a keeper because if she wasn't I wouldn't have planned my life with her.
This is going to be exciting, scary, and interesting to say the least I'm ready for it. I'm just scared that I'm gonna end up like my father abusive, and strict. Maybe I'm overthinking this too much I need to calm down. I can hear the bells...and baby cries already.
