Vanessa's POV

Tis the season of love, and joy. I'm surely feeling the Christmas spirit, and with our daughter coming very soon along with an upcoming wedding I am truly happy.  Michael and I decorated basically the whole house in Christmas decor well he did most of it because he was too anxious about me getting injured, or straining myself.  I am thankful that he cares enough.

One by one Michael's family members arrived to our house first it was his mother, and father (this is my first time meeting Joseph) then his sister Rebbie and her husband, Janet, LaToya. Second it was his brother's and their wives and kids. Then lastly, his grandparents. They all brought at least some food, or some presents after we eat dinner we're all gonna gather in the living room to open up gifts.  I've always loved the holidays growing up even though my mother had never enjoyed it she always put up a act for us to make it the best holiday possible.

Michael, greeted everyone as they came in when everyone got settled we had some family time once the table was all set we ventured to the kitchen. The table was long enough to fit everyone we did set up a smaller table in case all the kids wanted to sit together instead of sitting with the adults talking about adult things.  We made an assembly line taking turns each getting a plate of food everyone was so generous and nice letting those who needed to get their food first.

Finally, the line got shorter and everyone got their food. Basically all the kids sat at the little table anyway which made me giggle what made me really laugh was when Michael being the jokester he is sat down at the little table for like two seconds before heading over to us.  The kids had a blast, but then became disappointed when he left. Their moods got better when they started eating.  Everyone commented on how big my bump has gotten since they last seen me I was flattered.

Michael's father Joseph seemed to be happy with me, but it's hard to tell.  All his siblings were thrilled. His mother is the sweetest, and most helpful since this is my first time.  She gave me some tips, and information on what to expect when the baby comes I am very appreciative of her wisdom considering she's been through this about eight times.
Some went back for another plate of food, others went for dessert I leaned over to Michael and asked him to get me some chocolate cake. Michael, got up and went over cut me a small piece of cake then walked back placing the plate in front of me.  I smiled at him then started eating the piece of cake.

Everyone finished their meals, and headed to the beautifully decorated living room Michael assembled the Christmas tree which was the tallest tree I've ever seen in a house I put the ornaments and from what I could reach without straining too hard most of the lights. Michael took over the rest because I was starting to get tired.  We all piled up on the sectional some sat on bean bags others sat on the floor the kids were excited about opening their presents.

We started off with the kids first then ventured our way around the room. Michael did most of the Christmas shopping I did some, too. Let me tell you Michael went shopping and he went all out I don't know how much he spent but it doesn't matter as long as everyone is satisfied. We made it all way around and the last person to open presents was me. I started off with a box it was medium sized felt like there was maybe some clothing in the box. When I opened it I was correct it was a very soft cheetah printed maternity pajama set. Immediately I fell in love.

I opened the rest of my presents there was some perfumes from various expensive stores , high end make up products, some prep stuff for the nursery diapers baby clothes wipes etc. Some different maternity lounge wear and lastly personal care items shampoo body wash etc.  I was very emotional thanks to hormones. I didn't mean to cry, but I did I wasn't displeased with my gifts I was very happy with them.  Everyone was supportive and understanding Michael helped tidy the living room up from all the wrapping paper bits and pieces.

His family members gathered their gifts, and extra food for later before heading off we all hugged each other told each other that we loved them and to see them soon. I mentioned that whenever I go into labor I'd send out an group text to let everyone know. After that everyone got in their vehicles, and went home.
Michael gathered all my stuff, and we walked to the bedroom I sorted out all my maturity clothes from my care products organized them and put them away.

I sat the nursery stuff to the side I'll put them up tomorrow I had became sleepy so I began my night routine Michael was already ready and in bed waiting on me.  I finished my routine and lifted up the sheet and comforter I slowly got underneath the covers. Michael turned off the lamp, and we snuggled. Tonight was a great night I can't wait until she gets here.
