The strobe lights made my vision go a little wacky. I rubbed my eyes and stepped more into the gymnasium. It was incredibly crowded and difficult to see. It made me laugh that a Michael Jackson/Justin Timberlake song was playing.

"Baby, love never felt so good."

My arms still linked in the girls' were starting to ache. I let my arms loose, realizing that they were horribly tight.

"Wow!" Emily said in awe.

"This place looks amazing!" Meloney added. I sighed as I remembered the concert.

This was nothing compared to the concert.

The DJ was hilarious though. I knew him from Calculus, I think. He was definitely jamming out. It was great.

"Mae!" I heard someone shout from my left. I looked over to see Cile, Kyle but with a C, from English. He gave me a massive bear hug, and I was a bit shocked.

"Hey, Cile?" I said, but it sounded like a question. He smiled and laid a hand on my shoulder.

"Long time no see, dude! How're you, how's Jason?" He asked. I never realized how friendly he was.

"I'm fine, we're fine. Thanks." He smiled and nodded.

After a fine awkward silence (if you discount the loud music and laughter) he let go of my shoulder.

"Well, I'll see you around. Tell Jason I said hey!" He gave me another quick bear hug. I laughed.

"Yeah, sure." He jogged away to his other friends.

"I didn't know you were close to Cile." Emily said. I shook my head.

"Yeah, neither did I."

Instead of walking straight into the middle, we decided to walk around the outside of the gymnasium. It was fun seeing so many old faces. But there was a lot of people I didn't recognize at all. I had to ask Meloney or Emily who they were.

"Oh no." Meloney said once we were half way around the gym.

"Ashton is here."

At first I thought she meant Ashton Irwin, but I was wrong.

"Ash is here, with Liana!" She added. Emily and I turned our direction to where she was looking. It was true, Ash was here with Liana.

"Wasn't it her party where you hooked up with that guy?" I asked. She glared in his direction.

"Don't remind me." She replied, harshly.

That's when I song I loved came on. Well, I used to love I suppose. All it did was remind me of him.

"I think the universe is on, my side." Echosmith's voice ran through the speakers. I unlinked my arms and shook them.

"I'm going to go get a drink." I said. The look in my eyes obviously must've showed I wanted to go alone. They nodded and I departed away from them.

I let my braid fall across my shoulder as I walked to the drink table. Pizza, punch, Pepsi products, pies, everything was sprawled out across this table. It all looked amazing.

I grabbed a red solo cup and filled it with punch. It seemed really fizzy.

I wonder if anyone slid booze into this? Vodka? Maybe something worse. Oh well.

I took a big swig. Nope, nothing alcoholic. But sugar already put a boost in my mood.

I am such a binger.
