I stared at Jason in shock.
"You're, you're gay?" I asked. He opoonodded his head and sat back up.
"Ashton and I, we're more than just friends."
Ashton is gay.
I looked into Jason's big, blue eyes. He sighed and fell back on the bed.
"Have you told mom or dad?" I asked.
"Hell no! If they found out, they would probably send me to a "I'm Not Different" camp."
I almost laughed at that, but I didn't.
"Ashton was planning on telling the guys sooner or later."
After a few minutes, I broke our silence.
"Okay." I said.
"What?" He asked.
"I said okay. I don't care if you're gay, Jason. You're my brother, and I can't judge you. Only you can. Seriously, don't worry about me." He sat up and wrapped me in a hug.
"Don't tell Noel, but you're the best sister ever." I laughed and hugged him back. I heard a knock at the door. I walked to it and without warning, Calum slammed open the door.
I need to take away his key to the room.
The door smacked me in my beautiful nose and I fell to the floor. What the heck? Why my favorite part of my face?
"Oh my gosh, Mae!" Calum bent down and moved my hand from my face.
"Are you okay? Does it hurt? Is it broken? Well, what's broken?" I put my hand back to my face.
"It's not broken, I've broken my nose before." He sighed of relief. He pulled me up and sat me on my bed.
"Hey Jason." Calum said in his calm voice. Jason nodded as he laid in his bed.
"I was wondering if I could talk to Mae alone real quick?" It took a while for Jason to process what Calum said. He looked at him annoyed, then stood up.
"I'll be in the hall, looking for decent vending machines." I laughed as he walked out of the room, with no shoes on. I looked back at Calum and smiled.
"What's up?" He sighed and sat down on the bed.
"I'm leaving soon, Mae." I raised an eyebrow. He shook his head.
"Stop trying to do that! You can't raise an eyebrow!" He sounded intimidating and he was getting angry.
"Sorry." He said calmly.
"What do you mean you're "leaving soon"?" I asked. He looked at me right in the eyes.
"Mae you know I'm on tour. We were here for so long because of all the concerts. You didn't even go to any of the others because of Noel. You shlould've known I was going to leave soon."
Is he serious? This is how he says good bye to me?
"This is how you're saying good bye to me? This is the special way?" He set his hand on top of mine.
"I'm not saying good bye, Mae. We can still text and video chat." I shook my head and pulled my hand away.
"I don't know why I'm mad." I admitted.
"I knew this was going to happen. I knew one of us was going to have to leave. either you or me. Even when I expected this, I'm still mad."
He sighed and stood up.
"Mae, I'm sorry." He turned towards the door. I bolted up.
"Don't you dare leave, not like that. Do you even know when you're leaving? Obviously you can't right now." He stopped in his tracks so I kept talking.
