It had been four months since Nick broke up with Charlie to be honest Nick didn't know why he did it , well he did he would just never admit to it. Nick didn't want to bring Charlie back into his old ways by telling him that he couldn't handle the bullying and the nasty remarks he would get from people (mainly Harry ) walking through school. So he told the whole school he was just confused . Nick and Imogen started dating after 2 months. Imogen was more than infatuated by nick. Nick couldn't really say the same but he thought he could learn to love her.

When the break up was fresh Charlie crawled back into his eating habits and self harming habits although he wouldn't tell anyone. On the second month when nick announced he was confused when him and Charlie were dating Charlie believed him and decided to accept this and decided it was time to move on . On the third month and old flame of Charlie's popped up. Ben Hope. He and Charlie had a summer fling and when Ben moved to Truham grammar school all those feelings came back between the pair so they started talking and even tho they weren't official yet they were very open about their relationship. Kissing in school and public. Taking any chance to be touchy and near each other . Charlie loved it all the affectionate behaviour in public and especially in private , and although Charlie thought Nick didn't think about him anymore he still held a small place in Charlie's heart. But Charlie had moved on and was happier than ever with Ben.

On the fourth month when Charlie found out about Nick and Imogen he was sad of course he was but not a depressing sad more of a happy sad thinking that Nick finally found his person just as Charlie had. Charlie really had moved on and he knew Ben was his person they would always go on romantic dates they would go to bens house or Charlie's house Ben and Charlie's little brother Oliver were best friends. Even tori loved Ben and that was rare. Charlie was in love and he was ready to ask Ben to be his boyfriend . Charlie arranged a romantic date in his back garden when everyone was out and invited Ben over. They laid in his back garden for hours and finally laid in their tent which was actually a trampoline that Charlie thought would make a good tent. And then he asked him to be his boyfriend and of course Ben said yes without even thinking.
The next day at school Charlie ran up to Ben and Ben swung his around and they shared a romantic and passionate kiss at the front gate. Nick and Imogen were walking past and when Imogen saw them she looked at nick to see his reaction but he was just looking at the ground emotionless. And that's when Nick realised it was better to love Charlie from a distance.
