Nick and Charlie one shots

Coffee shop part 3

Nick woke up from his slumber with the biggest smile on his face. He hadn't felt this happy in a long time 'what is this boy doing to me ' nick thought. It was 11am when nick woke up so he only had two hours to get ready which was more than enough time for him.

On the other hand , Charlie had not yet woke up. It was now 12pm and Charlie was still asleep. 'Ring,ring , ring' Charlie groaned and picked up his phone not even bothering to check who he was talking to.

"Mhm hello " Charlie said in his morning voice making nicks heart do cartwheels.

"Hey Charlie , have you just woken up ?" Nick chuckled. When Charlie finally realised who was on the other end of the phone he shot up out of bed heading for the bathroom to get ready .
"Oh hey Nick, no I haven't just woken up silly I've been awake for ages trying to find the perfect outfit." He chuckled trying to sound at least a bit convincing.

"Okay Charlie, I was just ringing to make sure your still up for our ummm our date ?" Nick said not sure how Charlie would react. Charlie's eyes went wide. A date. A DATE.
"Oh yeah I'm still on for our date nick ." He said in a teasing manner.
Nick blushed and coughed "umm ok meet you at the diner than at 1.00 pm bye. " before Charlie could respond the call had been ended.
'SHIT' Charlie thought he really had to rush if he wanted to make it on time. Luckily the dinner was just a 10 minute walk from his house.
Nick was ready and pacing around his room wondering what he was going to say to Charlie he had acted so confident over text but he couldn't be confident in person or could he ? Charlie made Nick feel like he could do anything around Charlie. It may sound stupid from an outsider considering they had just met and they didn't even speak for that long but nick liked Charlie and Charlie liked nick.

Charlie was walking to the dinner he was only 5 minutes late but he felt awful. Nick sat there at the table waiting for Charlie it was now 1:05 and nick didn't think Charlie was going to show but he told himself to wait , and he was glad that he did because when he looked up it felt like time had stopped and anything and everything around Charlie had disappeared. Nick smiled at Charlie and stood up not quite sure how to great him so he just sat back down and pointed to the seat opposite him waiting for Charlie to sit down.
"Hey" they both said in unison chuckling after they realised they had said the same thing. "How are you?" Charlie asked
"I'm good pretty bumbed that my favourite shirt is covered in coffee but other than that I'm amazing." Nick said teasingly smirking at Charlie. Charlie blushed hiding his face with his hands." Ughh I'm still so sorry about that was it actually your favourite I'm so sorry."
"Nah I'm kidding it wasn't my favourite shirt , I don't even think I have a favourite shirt to be honest and stop saying sorry I told you it was ok." Nick chuckled reaching for Charlie's hand that had now came down from his face and was resting on the table.
Charlie looked at his hand as soon as he felt a warm feeling through his body. Nick didn't know why he held Charlie's hand but when he did he could of sworn he saw sparks coming in between their hands. "Sorry I shouldn't have held your hand without  asking." Nick apologised letting go off his hand. Charlie just giggled and said it was ok. They both picked up a menu in comfortable silence.
After a few minuets a waiter came over to take their order. "Umm can I have the triple cheese burger and loaded fries please with a coke no ice thank you ." Charlie said smiling at the tall waiter. "Of course and you sir." The waiter asked turning to nick." Umm I'll have the same but with ice please thank you ." The waiter nodded his head and walked away. "So tell me about your self lover boy ." Charlie said to nick.
Nick blushed slightly."umm well I play rugby I'm currently at university to become a pe teacher and my best friend is my dog Nellie what about you." Nick asked.
" wow your life is way more interesting than mine ," Charlie laughed Nick joking in too. ," bit umm I'm also In university studying to be a vet and I have a little side job at my local supermarket you know to pay the bills and my best friends name is Tao." Nicks heart instantly melted when he heard Charlie say he was studying to be a vet. He felt like they were meant to be. Their food finally came out and they started talking about their dreams, their hobby's, their family's. They were both surprised how open and honest they were being with each other. " so yeah that's how I came out to my mum." Nick finished saying Charlie letting a year slip from his eye. " wow that is beautiful." Charlie said holding back tears. They had now been talking for at least 2 hours about anything and everything that they wanted to say to each other and they both agreed it was time to leave. " so umm I had so much fun." Charlie said as they were standing to the side of the diner. "Yeah me too." Nick said blushing. Nick really wanted to kiss him he wanted to but he didn't know if Charlie would feel comfortable considering this was their first date. "Can I kiss you ? " Nick asked almost inaudible but Charlie heard him and nodded his head. They both walked a bit closer to each other. Nick holding Charlie's cheek with one hand and his waist with the other. Charlies hands on nicks chest. They just stared into each other's eyes before the pair closed them and leaned in. When nicks soft lips touched Charlie's all he could think about was how soft they were he could feel the sparks flying around them. Nick felt like their lips were made for each other, like two pieces of a lost puzzle finally reunited. After a a minuets or two they pulled away neither of them wanting to look away from the other. "I really like you."Charlie blurted out instantly turning red. Nick chuckled "I really like you too Charlie."
