Duncan's POV:

The first thing I saw when I woke up was Violet. I blushed when I saw how close we were and the fact that she was in my bed. I don't remember what happened last night, but I'm sure we didn't do anything...inappropriate. How did I end up here? I thought. I decided not to wake her up since she looked really peaceful in her sleep. I crawled out of the blanket and snuck out of the door, then I ran into Isadora.

"There you are Duncan!" She said. "What were you doing in Violet's room?" She smirked when she asked the question. My face turned red, "we didn't do any of that Isadora! At least I don't think..." I replied.  "So, why were you in her room?" I tried thinking about what we did last night and finally I remembered, "we just both couldn't sleep, we decided to talk about what kept us awake in her room and eventually we fell asleep, nothing else happened I swear," I explained. "Okay, okay, you didn't do anything together I understand, but I need you to wake Violet, Justice Strauss needs all of us downstairs," Isadora said.  I nodded and went back inside Violet's room.

Why didn't Isadora just say it's time for breakfast? The way she worded it was weird, I thought. Whatever, it's probably nothing. I should just go and wake up Violet. I went over to Violet's bed and shook her awake, "Violet, wake up. It's time for breakfast," I said. She yawned and groaned and opened her eyes slightly. She climbed out of bed and blinked rapidly, trying to fully open her eyes. She fixed her hair and ran her fingers through it. "Good morning, Duncan. Is it time for breakfast?" "Yes, Isadora said that Justice Strauss wants us all downstairs, so she told me to wake you up." "Alright then, let's go," She said. We both exited her room and followed Isadora downstairs.

Breakfast was already prepared. There were eight chairs, including the highchair for Beatrice, 6 plates of bacon and egg and 5 glasses of water, plus a juice box (I'm assuming was for Sunny) were placed on the table. 5 chairs were already occupied leaving 3 available seats for Violet, Isadora and me. Isadora sat in the seat next to Klaus and Violet and I sat next to each other, with Quigley to the right of Violet and Sunny sitting right across from me. "Okay children, while you eat your breakfast, I have something to say," Justice Strauss said. Everyone was eating their breakfast and listening to what she had to say. "Okay, so, as you know, summer is coming to end, and the fall season is arriving. You children need a proper education and I'm sure your parents provided you with one before...they died. And children...I know with all the Daily Punctilio and you guys being framed for murder and being wanted criminals that I should keep you inside and keep you hidden, but then again you children need, and education and I have work and so this would be a good place to keep you and so--" "Where are you going with this?" Klaus asked. "Well, children...I signed you all up to attend Prufrock Preparatory School!"

All of us sighed and groaned, except for Quigley's, Justice Strauss's and of course Beatrice's. "Wait, isn't that the school you and Isadora told me about, the one where Count Olaf had kidnapped you guys?" Quigley asked. "Yes it is," I answered. "Oh shit," he whispered. "Everyone's going to recognize us," Violet said, "and we be arrested," Sunny finished. "Well actually," Justice Strauss reached into her bag and revealed a bunch of wigs and a pack of eye contacts, "I bought disguises," she smiled awkwardly. We all looked at each other. "Would disguises really work though?" I asked. "I mean, if the students and faculty were blind enough to not see through Count Olaf and his henchmen's terrible disguises, then maybe they won't be able to see through ours," Isadora said. "Isadora does make a point," Klaus agreed.

"You kids have school tomorrow so you should go try on these disguises and see if they fit, I have to head to work now." Justice Strauss got up from her chair and picked up the dirty plates and glasses, then she put them in the dishwasher and turned it on. She picked up her bag and put on her wig and before she left for work, she said goodbye, then she left. We were all left, sitting on the dinning table.

"Great, now we have to go back to that shit school," I complained. "At least we have disguises," Violet said. "How about we try them on, see if they're any good?" Quigley suggested. We all agreed and took turns trying out the disguises. My disguise included: a short dirty, messy blonde wig, and dark brown contacts, Klaus disguise included: a short, curly dark red wig and hazel contacts, while Quigley's disguise included: short light, neat chestnut brown and emerald green contacts. Isadora's disguise included: a long straight black hair and blue contacts, Violet's disguise included: medium length, wavy platinum blonde hair and light green contacts, while Sunny just wore a short black wig because the contacts were too uncomfortable for her. The wigs weren't too bad and actually seemed pretty real, the contacts were pretty realistic as well, but I agree with Sunny on the uncomfortable part. We all had to think of fake names as well. Violet decided on Juliet, Isadora's was Rose, Sunny's was Lucy, Klaus's was Ethan, Quigley's was Xavier, and mine was Levi. We all wrote down our names and who's disguise were who's. Hopefully they would succeed in fooling Prufrock students and faculty, and we wouldn't be arrested when we went to the school tomorrow.

Violet's POV:

The next day the first thing we did after we finished eating breakfast was get ready for Prufrock Prepatory School. We all put on disguises and the uniforms we had gotten in the mail and then we stuffed the papers of our fake names into my pockets. We couldn't mess this up.

We all hopped onto the rickey trolley and waved goodbye to Justice Strauss and her comforting home. "Goodbye children, I hope you are safe." Justice Strauss held Beatrice. I didn't know what she was going to do with Beatrice when we she was at school, but I suppose she already figured that out, hopefully. I pulled out the piece of paper that said my fake name. "Juliet," it read, the name Juliet meant youthful, it originated in French and English according to some studies, it was a beautiful name which was why I had picked it. I looked out the window and saw the dreadful school. A line of kids going through the entrance. Since Count Olaf was officially dead (and this time for real) the Count Olaf scanner was gone. Instead, there was a two scanner machines for the Quagmires, and me and my siblings. My eyes widened. Hopefully our disguises would work!

The rickety trolley stopped and we all headed off to Prufrock Prep. We lined up behind and the kids and anxiously waited for our turn. Sunny held on to my hand, "Violet, will the catch us?" Sunny asked, she had said "Violet, will they catch us." I reassured her, "no, they won't. The disguises will work," although I wasn't sure myself if they would catch us or not. But then I remembered what Isadora said "if the students and faculty were blind enough to not see through Count Olaf and his henchmen's terrible disguises, then maybe they won't be able to see through ours," and so I calmed down a bit.

Finally, it was our turn. We walked up to the scanners. I closed my eyes as the machine scanned us. "This is not the Baudelaire and Quagmire orphans." I relaxed and opened my eyes once the machine approved us inside. Once we entered through the doors all the memories started coming back. "Let's go to the office," Klaus said. Faint sounds of the violin played through the halls. It was easy finding Vice Principal Nero's office because of his awful Violin playing. I opened the door and Vice Principal Nero stopped playing his ancient and ruined violin. He set down his bow and the foot that was on his desk. "Who dares interrupt a genius while he's playing the Violin!" Sunny sighed and rolled her eyes, "great."

Sorry for not posting over the weekend, I decided to take a break from writing, and it was my sister's birthday yesterday so Happy late birthday to her! I'll only post around 2-3 chapters each week, maybe even four sometimes.
