Last One Standing (Cole Brookstone x Reader)

(author's note~ fun fact, my two favorite ninjas are cole and zane. i liked zane more in the beginning seasons, cole grew on me overtime :) anyways bye)

{First Person POV}

I sat in a row with all the other competitors during the Master of Amber and Sound's fight. Skylar, the elemental Master of Amber, or Absorption, ended up winning by turning her opponent's power against him. After the match, Chen declared the winner. 

"I hope the Tournament of Elements has entertained you as much as it has me," Chen said slyly. "To thank you, I wanted to give everyone fancy jewels and untold shiny things." The crowd cheered at this, and to be honest, it did seem generous. "But then, in yesterday's battle, Master Jay and Cole tried to undermine me. By teaming up and refusing to fight each other," Chen spat. "And that made me very upset," he continued as he threw a plate of jewels he was holding behind him. "For their insubordination, all of your fancy quarters will be taken away, and tonight everyone must sleep together in the chow house," he said as he crushed a blue jewel in his hand. "That is all, thank you, you can go."

It was quite annoying that he took away all of our rooms and forced us to sleep in one room with everyone. Although, I understood more than anyone why they did what they did. Everyone else on the other hand... not so much. 

I sighed as I walked out of the temple. I couldn't help but wonder what Cole was doing right now, and if he by some chance still even had his powers. I tried not to let it distract me too much though. The more I played by the rules, the more chance I had of making it off this island in one piece...

{3rd Person POV}

"You can take my clothes! And power! But you'll never take my super strength!" Cole yelled as he gripped the bars on his cell door and tugged with all his might. Much to his avail, they didn't budge. "All right, so you got that too," he said after he fell back on the ground. 

Later, his cell door was opened and unlocked by none other than Clouse himself. "You're letting me go?" Cole asked confused and slightly hopeful.

"Of course not. Your presence is required in the factory," Clouse said. 

"The factory?! Lock me up for all I care, I'm never gonna lift a finger for you, you despicable-" he was interrupted by both Clouse and a grunt with him pulling him up against his will. They dragged him to two large sliding doors. Inside was essentially, a noodle factory. 

Seeing this, Cole tried to stay optimistic, due to his love of food. This was the best possible outcome for him. To be working with food all day that he loved and could eat as much as he wanted of it. Until Clouse told him the only rule, "No eating the merchandise." 

"No eating the merchandise? How cruel can this place be?! You're evil!" After saying this, he tried to sneak a fortune cookie into his mouth regardless, before it was grabbed by an overseer. 

Above ground, everyone was in their respective bunk beds in a large room. (Y/n) laid restless, but trying her best to get herself to go to sleep. "What is even going on in this place? Why does Chen want our powers so bad?" she thought to herself, plagued by questions that would most likely go unanswered. She was in the bed above Lloyd, the Green Ninja. After a bit of time, she felt the bottom bunk shake as he got out of bed. He was joined by the other remaining ninjas and they began talking. She could only hear bits and pieces of their conversation. But she did hear something about the ninja working to find Cole and Zane, the ice ninja Cole revealed was alive.
