To say that Caroline was shocked and horrified when she saw the state in which Stefan brought Melanie home. They checked the bandages once in a while putting Ialugen.(that's what they gave me when I burned my hand) She was changing the bandages on her arms when Melanie gasped and woke up. She backed away until she hit a wall. She looked scared. Caroline tried to scoot over to her to calm her down but Melanie whimpered like if she was afraid.
"Melanie, hey calm down it's okay" She told the girl but Melanie looked at her confused.
"Who are you?"She asked not recognizing the women infront of her. "Mom, dad where are you?" She called out.
"Okay can you tell me your parents name?" Caroline asked softly and Mel nodded.
"Caroline Forbes and Stefan Salvatore" Melanie answered and Caroline was taken back a little.
"Are you sure?"Caroline asked her again to confirm if she heard correctly. And she did assuming Melanie nodded. Caroline told the girl to go to bathroom while she made her something to eat.
On the way downstairs she was met with Stefan who just came back from a hunting trip. After getting out of the safe he's been having some PTSD and he thought that maybe satisfying his thirst will take his made off of it.
"Hey, are you feeling any better?" Caroline asked him concerned but he just smiled at her. A smile that always made her smile too and her knees to go weak.
"Yes, anyway has Melanie woken up?" He asked seeing as she came from upstairs. Caroline nodded and Stefan was about to head upstairs if if wasn't for her arm catching his.
"We have a little problem" She said and he immediately began to worry. What could have happened during those few hours he wasn't home and Caroline was looking after her. "It's best if you see it for yourself" Caroline said and grabbed some food from the fridge before bringing it to the girl upstairs who was coming out of the shadow.
"Where are my mom and dad did you see them?"She asked them, her voice filled with desperation and sadness. Stefan looked at Caroline still not understanding what was wrong.
"Can you tell us their names again?"Caroline asked softly stepping closer to the brunette girl who nodded.
"Caroline Forbes and Stefan Salvatore" To say Stefan was too stunned to speak would be an understatement. He was shocked but deep down he wished it would be true. Melanie took the tray and started eating what was on it.
