Hours past and Caroline was beginning to worry. It was indeed a trap. She snuck near the cabin discreetly not to draw attention to herself and spotted Tessa cooking something and Stefan and Melanie we're sitting on the couch. To anyone else it looked normal, ordinary. But she knew that was not the case.
"Stefan"She whispered low enough for the vampire to hear so that Tessa doesn't hear her. Stefan's head shot up to the direction of the sound.
"Yes" he whispered back.
"What's going on in there?" She whisper asked with a little bit of anger in her voice.
"Tessa wants to use Mel for some spell. I'm guessing to destroy Silas's powers, but he wants to get to the anchor so he spelled us in here till sundown"Stefan explained and Caroline groaned. She knew it was a trap and yet she let him walk in there. She look behind her to see the sun slowly passing down. It would be about an hour until it was complete sunset and the spell would be broken.
"Hang on for about an hour, and you'll be okay" She told him and he sighed deeply. He wanted them to be okay but an hour was enough time to do anything.
"An hour is enough time, to do any spell she wants"
"I can try to distract her somehow, I'll think of something" Caroline said not letting them in there. Even if she knew that she couldn't have kids it felt good that someone thought she was a mom, even if she wasn't ready to be one.
"There's this one question that's been bugging me?"Stefan asked trying to gain time, till sundown.
"What?"Tessa asked turning towards him annoyed.
"Why do you want to destroy Silas's powers. If he isn't a witch he's still technically the originator of the doppelgangers. Wouldn't that make him supernatural?" Stefan asked and Mel looked up. She immediately noticed that he's trying to buy time.
"Well no because he was a simple witch that caused a spell and thanks to that doppelgangers exist. If I take away his witch power's he'll be an immortal nobody considering that the cure has been lost" Tessa says explaining and Caroline is listening to everything from the outside. Suddenly she gets an idea and vamp speed away hoping she'll make it back in time.
