Chapter 1 - Serendipity

6 months later..

"Leeseo-ah!" Wonyoung called into the hallway. "Are you coming or not?"

Leeseo came out of her room to answer her unnie's calls.

"Sorry unnie," she apologized. "I have to finish my school project tonight, I'll come with you to the arcade another time."

Wonyoung understood, got ready for the arcade, and left.

Wonyoung decided to dress casually since it was just an arcade, but she didn't want to be recognized, so she grabbed a baseball cap, her mask, sunglasses, and a coat that she rarely wore.

That same night Sunghoon had the same idea as well.

"Jungwon hurry up!" He yelled and waited for him. He decided to check his phone since Jungwon was taking so long and saw a text from Jungwon that he missed.

"Sorry can't come tonight, I went out with Sunoo hyung and Niki. See you later." It read.

Are you kidding me? Sunghoon thought. Well it will be fine, he's an introvert and maybe he needed time to himself. He left the dorm and made his way to the arcade while wearing a bucket hat and a black mask because fans and sasaengs were crazy these days. Sunghoon also had dyed his hair brown in the morning, so nobody but his members had seen it yet.

At the arcade, Wonyoung bought a game card and began to play a few games. Her favorite arcade game was Dance Dance Revolution but she only enjoyed playing with another person. Unfortunately, she was alone so she couldn't play. After playing Mario Kart, pinball, and skee-ball, she decided to try the claw machine in hopes of getting a prize. She knew that these things were impossible to get prizes from, but the adorable, pink baby elephant stuffed animal caught her eye, and she wanted it very badly. She ran towards the claw machine in excitement and began playing.

She tried and tried again until she succeeded. Her game card though, which allowed her to play games, had eventually ran out. Suddenly, her phone rang.

"Hello?" Wonyoung answered.

"Hey, did you remember to turn off the oven when you were baking that cake before you left the house?" Yujin asked

"Yes, of course. I'm not that stupid!"

"Ok, ok, just checking. What are you doing at the arcade?"

"I'm trying to get this stuffed animal from the claw machine," Wonyoung explained.

"Well don't waste your money. If your game card runs out, don't refill it, it's not a good way to spend." Yujin said. And as Yujin spoke, Wonyoung had just ran out of points.

"Aw man," Wonyoung complained.

"Did you run out?" Yujin asked, and Wonyoung nodded before remembering Yujin couldn't see her.

"Yes"

"Well don't get more, it's a big waste of your money." Yujin said.

"BUT UNNIE ITS SO CUTE." Wonyoung said.

"I don't care how cute it is!" Yujin said.

From the other side of the arcade, Sunghoon could see the girl whining about not getting her prize. He was bored and had extra points on his game card so he decided to help her out.

Then, Sunghoon walked up to the claw machine where the whining girl was. He was dressed similarly to her. He slightly altered his voice so he wouldn't be completely recognizable by the public.

"You're trying to get this one, right?" he asked as he pointed to the stuffed animal Wonyoung wanted. Wonyoung was about to respond but realized she should change her voice in case it was a fan that could recognize her voice.
