Chapter Seven - We're Done

"What?" Sunghoon asked and as he couldn't believe Wonyoung was suggesting this. Wasn't she the one who wanted to date?

"Well not actually," Wonyoung rushed, worried Sunghoon misunderstood. "We can publicly pretend not to be together but never actually break up."

Sunghoon was still a little confused, but got onto what she meant.

They publicly announced that they "broke up" and most people didn't even seem to care.

@princehoon02 - I'm glad they broke up, Sunghoon was better without her.

@wizdive - Wish they didn't break up, they were good together.

@kpopstan0613 - Why did they even date? Should've just stayed as colleagues. So unprofessional.

People had been just giving more hate to their relationship after announcing that they "broke up" the first few months. But after the first few some fans changed their minds.

@wwhbetterthanu - I'm not a big DIVE or Engene and was honestly thought their relationship sucked, but now that I think about it wouldn't have been that bad.

@sunoosaranghae033 - Maybe they shouldn't have broken up, well too late now.

@gaeul_stan47 - It might've been a mistake for us all to give them hate for dating... 😅

"Are you kidding me?" Leeseo exclaimed one day after reading the new comments from fans and netizens. Wonyoung was currently on VLIVE so Leeseo tuned in to see if they were saying the same things there.

Mochidonut : Wonyoung unnie, you should get back together with Sunghoon.

L0veD1ve : Why did y'all even break up, just get back together.

Wonyoung hadn't read any of the comments out loud, but Leeseo was sure she saw them.

After the VLIVE was over, Leeseo decided she should bring it up.

"Wonyoung unnie, you should get back together with Sunghoon publicly, I know you two are still together secretly but sometimes it doesn't feel like you are most of the time." Leeseo told her unnie.

Wonyoung realized she was right. For some dumb reason netizens and fans decided them dating wouldn't be bad after they "broke up".

Wonyoung contacted Sunghoon and they decided maybe it was time for them to get back together publicly, it had been a few months.

HYBE and Starship announced they were dating again and fans seemed satisfied this time. Leeseo had been right, technically the two never broke up but sometimes it felt like they did. They just texted instead of hanging out outside of work and were busy with their own group work.

Time skip, two years later.

It had been two years now and it was now March of 2027. Wonyoung and Sunghoon's time as MCs had ended a few months after they got back together those two years ago. They were still together, publicly, and everyone hadn't hated on them as much as they used to. One day, both Wonyoung and Sunghoon's CEOs wanted to meet with them.

The two had been hanging out one day when both received separate emails.

Ding! The notification went off.

Both checked their phones to see it was the CEO of both of their labels. Both requested to meet with them privately.

"Oh it's the Starship CEO, they want me to meet with them to discuss something regarding MuBank. Hm wonder what it is." Wonyoung said.

Sunghoon got a similar email but from the new HYBE CEO. A few moments later, Sunghoon's phone went off again this time with a text message.

"Oh it's Soobin," he said.

Wonyoung moved her eyebrows confused. "From TXT?" she asked.

Sunghoon nodded and read the text.

"He got the same email from the CEO, I guess we both see him at the same time apparently."

With Sunghoon at HYBE

"I'm glad you both were available." The CEO said as Soobin and Sunghoon both took a seat at the meeting table with her. The two idols greeted each other before greeting the CEO.

"So you are both former MCs of Music Bank, and they have contacted us saying they are doing some sort of reboot episode. It will contain a special performance with all the former MCs. What do you both think?"

Soobin and Sunghoon looked at each other and both gave a look saying they wouldn't mind.

"Sure, we can do that." Soobin said.

"Great," The CEO replied and handed them both a paper with more details and the time and date.

Apparently, the CEO of Starship had the same conversation with Wonyoung.

Later :

On his way back from the HYBE building, Sunghoon stopped by IVE's dorm.

"Oh hi oppa," Liz said as she opened the door and bowed. She let him in and inside felt a little annoyed. The other members all liked Sunghoon (in general) and thought he was a good person for Wonyoung. However, they would both spend all their free time together so Wonyoung was rarely able to do fun things with the group.

Sunghoon walked upstairs to Wonyoung's door and knocked.

"Come in!" She called and he opened the door.

"So what did he say?" Wonyoung asked, referring to the CEO.

"He mentioned some MuBank reboot performance thing, with all the past MCs." Sunghoon explained.

"Oh that's what my CEO said as well, I agreed to it and assumed you did if that's what you were told about."

Sunghoon nodded. He opened his phone to the new email that MusicBank had sent to the past MCs a while before.

"It says that we will be doing a performance of IU's Celebrity, that sounds fun." Sunghoon said. "We have practice next week, let's look forward to it!"

One week later, the MuBank practice

Celebrity was a harder song than the MCs thought it would be. Everyone was working really hard though and wanted to make sure that their real last performance as former MCs would be amazing and jaw dropping. They even were learning the choreography but making it where more than one person danced it. Immediately after practice, Wonyoung grabbed her things and left quickly saying goodbye to everyone.

"Wow that was quick," Arin said, surprised at how fast Wonyoung left.

"Yeah," Sunghoon agreed. "She has to go film a 1,2,3 IVE episode. Like directly after practice."

"Ahhhh" Arin said, now understanding.

"This song is harder than I thought, so is the dance." Soobin said as he came over to where Sunghoon and Arin were sitting.

Arin excused herself and had to go to a photoshoot soon leaving Soobin and Sunghoon alone.

"Can you help me with something?" Sunghoon asked Soobin.

"Sure, what is it?"

"I want to propose to Wonyoung."
