Chapter 2 - It's Not A Date

Sunghoon wasn't sure why he asked her that. It's not like it was a date, right? Or would she think it was?

Wonyoung - [ Sure! ]

Sunghoon - [ Great! Meet in the morning, maybe around 11? ]

Wonyoung - [ Okay, I'll see you in the morning! Should I bring anything? ]

Sunghoon - [ Hm, I don't think so. Just bring the things you would normally bring, I think I'll bring some lunch. You can bring snacks if you want. ]

Wonyoung - [ Okay! We should probably go to bed now ㅋㅋㅋ ]

Sunghoon - [ Oh haha maybe. What time is it? ]

Wonyoung - [ 2:45 AM ]

Sunghoon - [ Whoops, heh we should probably go to bed then. ]

Wonyoung - [ Well I'll see you in the morning! Good night! ]

Sunghoon - [ Good night! ]

In the morning, IVE gathered in the kitchen to eat breakfast, but Wonyoung hadn't come yet.

"Where is Wonyoung?" Gaeul asked. "It's like 10 AM, she should be awake."
"She was up late last night, when we checked on her last night she was texting at like 1 AM." Rei said.

"I wonder who she was texting," Liz wondered.

"Maybe it was a guy," Rei laughed.

"What if it was Sunghoon?" Leeseo joked. "I mean they MC together and maybe they built up some sort of relationship."
"It better not be Sunghoon," Yujin said. "Or any guy, besides haven't you seen how they interact on MuBank? They look like they feel awkward with each other, they don't even make eye contact."

"Well I was joking unnie, I can't imagine her being with Sunghoon." Leeseo explained.

"But seriously guys," Liz said. "Who was she texting?"

Wonyoung walked into the room yawning, and the members expected her to still be in pajamas but she was surprisingly all dressed. She wore an outfit a bit nicer than what she normally wears and had her hair and makeup done even.

"Wow you like nice," Liz complimented. "Are you going anywhere?"
Wonyoung nodded. "Yeah I'm going to Han River with a friend,"
Yujin's eyes widened.

"Which friend?" she asked.

"You don't know them," Wonyoung said.

"Is this friend a male or a female?" Yujin asked.

"Uhm, male..." Wonyoung said hesitantly.

"Well you better be careful!" Yujin said. "There are reporters everywhere who could start rumors. And don't do anything you shouldn't be doing with him."
Wonyoung just rolled her eyes. "Unnie you're exaggerating, I've met him once."
"Okay, but if you ever go out with him again and come back pregnant you're dead." Yujin said. "Just dont touch him in any way that isn't like a friend, or just not touching him at all would be fine."
Wonyoung walked over to the front door and opened it. "Well I'm leaving now, bye." and left for the river. She made sure to grab a bucket hat and a mask to cover her face in case Jaywon was some crazy fan or someone else saw her. Sunghoon had the same idea. He got to the river a little bit before Wonyoung with some food and a picnic blanket.

"Hello!" Wonyoung said as she arrived and greeted him. She still decided to use a different voice just to be safe.

"Oh hi!" Sunghoon said. "I brought lunch."
"Daebak!" Wonyoung said and sat down with him on the blanket. They served the food, which was bulgogi and tteokbokki, and started to eat. Wonyoung pulled down her mask to eat and Sunghoon did the same. From the angle both of them sat, you could see the top half of the other person's face but it was mainly covered by a mask.

"So," Wonyoung said and Sunghoon turned to look at her. "What are your favorite foods?" she asked and made eye contact with him.

She could see part of his eyes under his hat but he had his mask off so she could see most of his face. He was looking at her but didn't realize who she was at first.

"Sunghoon oppa?!" she exclaimed in her real voice.

Oh no... Sunghoon thought and assumed she was a fan.

He then realized that her voice sounded familiar and looked up at her.

"Wonyoung?!" he asked.

"You're Jaywon?" she exclaimed.

"Heh yeah..." he said. "I didn't want to use my real name since I didn't know it was you so I just combined Jay and Jungwon's name. But you were Hyunseo?"
"Yeah," Wonyoung explained. "It's Leeseo's real name so I just went with that."
They continued to eat but mainly in awkward silence since they didn't know what to say to one another.

"So..." Sunghoon said. "Should we not hang out or text much? I mean reporters are everywhere and will start rumors..."

Wonyoung started to panic a bit. She kinda liked Sunghoon and enjoyed hanging out with him, but wasn't sure if he liked it.

"Um," she said. "I don't think that would be necessary, I mean we MC together anyways so people know we're friends. We don't have to worry."

"You sure though?" He questioned.

"Should be alright."

Then, Wonyoung and Sunghoon quickly finished their lunch and put their masks back on. They stared at the river and sat in silence.

"I enjoyed texting you last night," Wonyoung said out of the blue.

"Heh yeah that was nice." Sunghoon agreed.

"We should talk more at MuBank, but it's really awkward." Wonyoung said.

"Yeah it kinda is, i never know what to say when we don't use the script."

They sat in more awkward silence like they do in MuBank until they both returned home.

"Well," Wonyoung said. "I'll see you at MuBank, bye!"

And Sunghoon waved goodbye to her.
