My brother's best friend

Cheryl Blossom

Cheryl was found murdered in her room at Thornhill. She had been poisoned and stabbed in the heart. It was a great tragedy in Riverdale. Everyone was in shock. I was curious on who killed her. Her brother was murdered when he was 14. He was shot by his own father. 

Anyways, today was the day I was going to see Jughead again. It has been too long! I needed to see him. I sat in the Blue and Gold office waiting. I heard the door fly open, and it was Principal Weatherbee. 

"Hello Betty. May we speak?" 

"Now?!" I shrieked. 

"It won't be long. I want you to know that I don't want you to put the murder of Cheryl Blossom in the paper. It's a very depressing time and-" 

"Yup! Got it! Thanks! Bye now!" I yelled sarcastically. I tried to push him out the door and he eventually left. But he had one question left. 

"Are you and Jughead Jones seeing each other?" 

"No! Just friends and partners!" I lied. When he was leaving Jughead was coming in. Jughead shut the door and locked it. I ran over to him and kissed him making him almost fall. 

"Sorry!" I giggled. We kissed another time. It was peaceful and happy. I missed him so much! We talked for a little while about life. When we left school, he kissed my cheek. 

"We're never going 2 weeks without seeing each other again!" He said. I nodded and kissed his cheek. We hugged for a while too. Then I stopped, I needed to talk to him about Cheryl Blossom. 

"Juggie, Principal Weatherbee told me not to write about Cheryl's murder. But I think we should do some digging. The 2 of us." I said. 

"Are you asking me to be your partner in crime?"

"Yeah, will you help me?" I asked. 

"Of course." He smiled. He kissed my hand like someone who was proper and walked away. He was sweet. I smiled to myself, as I began to gather information about what I knew from Cheryl's murder.
