"Dangit! My motorcycle won't start again!" Jughead yelled. I got on my knees and tried to fix it, but it was completely busted.

"Well, I guess we can walk." I said.

"But you're wearing heels?! You also don't have a jacket." I took off my shoes.

"Problem solved." I said. He came up to me and gave me his formal jacket. I blushed and so did he. We began to walk to Thornhill, home of the Blossoms.

"So Jughead."

"Between us, you can call me Jug."

"Ok Jug, tell me how things are in life."

"Well, my dad is a waiter at Pops. I work at the bijou for extra cash. My dad started drinking again, so that's always fun."

"Jeez Jug. I'm so sorry. I wish there was something I could do."

"There's nothing you can do. It's whatever Betty. My mom died and sometime soon my dad's mental health will die too."

There was brief moment of silence between us. He was staring at the ground and I was staring at him.

"Jug, why'd you really invite me?"

"You're a person I know-"

"Well there has to be another reason. You've met other people in your classes. You're in one of my Sophomore classes, I'm sure girls are all over you. You seem like a polite guy. You're a mysterious Junior-"

"Betty! I invited you because you're my friend too. You maybe Chic's little sister but you're...kind. You invited me to lunch, that shows your selfless. You're a good person, and that's why I invited you."

"Also, for your information, no girls hit on me."

We both laughed. After walking for 20 minutes, we got to Thornhill. I tried to hand him back his jacket, but he said no.

"If it's cold in the house, which I'm sure it probably will be. The Blossom's are cold people. You can wear the jacket."

"But Jug, then you'll be cold.

"I can handle it."

We walked inside to loud music and dancing. I could tell he was nervous now. I took his hand and told him everything was going to be ok. He nodded and we walked into the home of chaos.
