The Coming of Ragnarok

Immediately from last chapter

The halls are filled with cries of outrage & most of them are wanting the same thing, & that is the slaying of the Jötnar that not only somehow managed to infiltrate Asgard but also kidnap one of their own & slay a fair amount of their people. Most of the gods present also wanted retribution for this action against them, the rest are either against it or simply stayed quiet to keep themselves out of it & the only ones who went against it are Tyr, Mimir, Skadi & the few asgardians who sided with them.

Surprisingly, Y/n stayed quiet as he is contemplating whether or not to exact retribution for this action as one hand it appears as a 'just' act as these Jötnar are the ones who instigated the event while on the other, if they go too far, then it will just paint them as they are seen from the past: bloodthirsty, brutish & extremely biased to themselves considering of what acts they have done in the past has not faded from history, especially from the Jötnar considering their involvement in Ragnarok

Skadi, noticing her husband's dilemma, went to him & asked what will he do, with what has happened, she knew despite being the 3rd (actually 4th) most powerful being in Asgard after Odin & Freya for their immense arcane knowledge & extensive combat mastery, He would prefer to act with diplomacy first & then action as to help prevent a bad image from forming on him & adding on to Asgard's own

With a deep breath & sighing soon afterwards, He finally spoke...

Y/n: I will still continue on the original plan

The entire hall heard his answer & the crowd voiced their respective answer. Tyr & Odin heard this & had reacted accordingly with Tyr in agreement & Odin in disagreement (& silent plotting) as such gave out their answers

Tyr: At least, there is still another who has a clear & rational mind to keep the notion of diplomacy open

Odin: (in indignation) My son, do actually think that diplomacy is still on the table? especially with what has happened to Asgard & the image it will bring about when its revealed?

Y/n: Yes, despite against all of everyone's choice for violence, I will still stand by the original plan which means while you can prepare for your retribution against them, I will talk to them to stand down & face justice... & besides at least it would paint as more rational & not like brutes like they painted us for such a long time

Odin: (mutters something in another language before speaking normally) Very well,  We will proceed with the original plan (much to the disagreement of most of the hall) But remember son, if they refuse surrender then blood WILL be spilled & their heads to the Jötnar as a message to their uncontrolled people

Y/n: I have not forgotten father

Skadi then

Skadi: Then I will accompany you, considering I myself a Jötunn, they will at least hear us out before acting with any physical violence

Y/n: Are you sure? Yes, you are Jötunn but they might share the same view as the vanir considering they now abhor Freya for the marriage between her & father.

Skadi: Its my responsibility as not only a Jötunn but as an asgardian considering I am you wife & now considered an asgardian to a fair amount of the realms, so that may serve as a bridging point between our people

Y/n: Alright, But just in case bring your weapons, best to carry a weapon for the worst possible scenario

Skadi: Agreed, considering some do share the vanir's view on marriage between enemies or at least former enemies
