Chapter 13: Kill The Aftermath

Tatsumi and I are walking to Team RWBY's dorm when we hear yelling.

"-at steak!" Blake?

"We know, and we're all still trying to figure out what Torchwick is up to," That's Yang.

"Thanks to you and Sun, we know they're operating somewhere outside of southeast Vale," Ruby.

"And, the Schnee company records singled out Vale as the primary target for Dust robberies over the last few months," Schnee.

"Don't forget about their missing military tech too," Yang again.

"But there's still unanswered questions!" What the hell happened to Blake while I was gone?

"Blake, you won't be able to find anything if you can't even keep your eyes open!" Ruby is right.

"All we're asking is that you take it easy for one day," Hmm, from what I've gathered, Blake is still hung up on Torchwick and the White Fang working together and is currently spiraling into a manic state after something happened when I got kidnapped.

"It will be fun! Yang and I will make sure of it," Wait what?

"Yeah! We're planning the whole event!" WHAT!?!?

"Team CFVY's away mission lasted longer than expected," Coffee? Who the hell are they?

"So, Weiss and I were asked to pick up where they left off. And now we can make sure you have the perfect night," There had to have been better candidates.

"And once it's all over, we'll return for our search, rested and ready," Has the Schnee gotten nicer since the docks?

"So what do ya think?" I think I should talk to Blake.

"I think this is a colossal waste of time," Yep, someone needs a reality check.

Blake opens the dorm door and somehow misses me standing right next to it. "I'll be in the library."

"Oh hey, Y/N," Jaune greets me.

"Why are you holding a guitar?" he looks at me in confusion before remembering something.

"Oh, I'm here to serenade Weiss into going to the dance with me," Ha, fat chance.

"Good luck buddy," I pat him on the shoulder. "Now hide behind the door while I drop off Tatsu. Don't wanna ruin the surprise do we?"

"Oh yeah, right!"

I knock on the door and Schnee opens it.

"What do you want, L/N?" Schnee glares at me.

"Oh, ya know, just dropping off Tatsu because I don't trust him to not destroy the dorm while I'm out training, and Ruby, Blake, and Yang are the only people I trust him with aside from my own team and Wave," She looked offended that she wasn't on the list. "Oh, and uh JNPR."

"You said that just to spite me," Schnee accuses me of something I definitely did.

"Nah, they're pretty trustworthy. Especially that Jaune guy, I think you should take him to the dance," Did I just drop Jaune's chances to zero? Yep. Do I care? A little.

"Just gimme the damn Grimm," Schnee sighs before picking up Tatsumi.

"See ya 'round Weiss Cream," I wave behind me as I walk away.

"Don't call me that!" Schnee yells at me.

"What's up kitty cat?" Y/N greets Blake who glares at him with tired eyes.
