"Oi oi oi!" Y/N greets Ironwood with a smile, dodging a bullet aimed at his head.
"Oh, Mark Oath," Ironwood regards Y/N with a look of disgust. "I would arrest you had you not already shown how capable you are at escaping."
"You flatter me, James," Y/N smirks. "Now let's talk business."
"Your record from before going to Beacon was already cleared," James says much to the surprise of Y/N. "The things you did after the fall are still up for debate with the board, but they won't act for a long time with who your benefactors are."
"Oh... okay..." Y/N stares at Ironwood. "With that out of the way... can we talk about Mark Two?"
"The nanotech armor? You still have it?" Ironwood was surprised.
"Yeah, he's how I sneak around so effectively," Y/N covers his right arm with Oath.
""He?"" James asks.
"Oh yeah, Tatsumi backfired, he couldn't take over, so now he's the suit's interface system," Y/N explains.
"So that's why the suit hasn't been receiving updates," James hums in thought. "There's a lab on the third floor of the underground facilities here. The technicians there should be able to fix anything wrong with the suit."
"Oh, thanks, mate," Y/N gives James a thumbs up. "I guess I'll see you again once the Jaegers get here."
Later.
"That should be all the updates," One of the scientists says as Oath returns to Y/N's back.
"Thanks, Paul," Y/N gives the scientist a thumbs up. "Really appreciate it."
"Yeah, no problem," Paul returns the gesture. "It was mostly just software updates, but there's a new function too. The armor can now create aura shields as well as absorb the aura of others when in physical contact with someone."
"Those'll come in handy," Y/N smiles. "Thanks again, mate."
"Just doing my job, dude," Paul puts his fist out.
Y/N fist bumps the technician before leaving.
'He was nice,' Incursio comments.
'Yeah, he's from Mantle too,' Oath informs.
"Ah, I wonder if we've met before then," Y/N strokes his chin.
Y/N rises through the floors until he reaches the lobby, where he's greeted by the group glaring at him.
"Oh, hey guys," Y/N greets. "Took you a bit to get here, huh?"
"What is wrong with you!?" Weiss angrily walks up to Y/N and slaps him.
Y/N stares at her with confusion. "What'd I do?"
"Be... you," Weiss huffs and walks past him, the rest of the group doing the same except Lubbock and Jaune who give him sympathetic shoulder pats.
"I don't remember doing anything that bad recently," Oath appears next to Y/N.
"Maybe they found out about that girl with green eyes," Incursio suggests.
"I dunno..." Y/N sighs. "I gotta clear my head."
Y/N slowly walks out the front doors with a blank look on his face.
He aimlessly walks the streets of Atlas, somehow ending up in a park with a medium-sized pond and several benches.
Sitting on one of the benches, he stares at the sky, not even bothering to look when a knife bends on contact with his chest.
