3rd POV

She grumbled as she exited the vehicle, shielding her eyes from the sun's rays. Exhaustion engulfs her body compelling her to fall asleep on the spot. Unaware of the uneven path, she lost her footing. Before making contact with the rocky surface a muscular arm wrapped itself around her waist pulling her more petite figure towards said male's chest, to steady her before she smouched the dirt.

"Careful where you're stepping, the terrain's kind of rocky" Daichi spoke releasing his grip on her waist.

He brushed past her after he made sure she had a sound footing then continued to lead the trial up the slope. She mumbled a small thank you as she continued paying more attention to her surroundings. They traveled thirty minutes up the rocky terrain to a cottage cozily surrounded by trees.

"You could've told me to wear something lighter if you knew we were gonna be under the sun like this" she complained while pulling at the collar of her bottom-up long sleeve dress shirt.

"You didn't ask" he nonchalantly responded as he shrugs his shoulder not sparing her a glance.

She kissed her teeth in response, almost tripping for the second time in ten minutes. She paused for a moment taking in the scenery, tall thick trees, leaves ranging from dark forest green to a brighter shade. She felt comforted and at the same, it held its own mysteries and dark secrets. Flowers of all shapes, sizes, and vibrant colors decorated the forest floor. She remembered the last time she went far from home if you could call it that, so she decided to take this as a vacation of sort for whatever while it may last.

"Hey!, Are you coming, or are you going to daydream for the rest of the day down there, get a move on," Daichi shouted a lot farther than the last she had seen him, breaking her train of thought.

"Yeah, yeah boss I'm moving my ass, chill already" she sneers under her breath dragging her feet along as she goes.

'Really know how to woo the ladies Daichi, maiden-less scum' her intrusive thoughts came center stage, Angelina felt she was about to pop a vein in no time or die of heatstroke.

Both weren't sounding like a nice way to go.

.........

Once Angelina made it over the rocky terrain a cabin came into view, surrounded by untamed grass covering the walkway. Two stories tall, rugged and rustic from the looks of it, it hasn't had any visitors in a while.

She steps through the already open door after Daichi, the inside had minimal furniture yet it holds a cozy feel, it gave off the impression of a place to escape and relax.

"Achoo" she sneezed, covering her nose with the sleeve of her shirt.

But it hasn't been cleaned in a while.

"Well this is gonna be a lot of work" her voice came off muffled with disappointment as her shoulders slum.

'Guess I won't be taking a nap anytime soon' she pouted.

'She's throwing a tantrum' he thought as he glanced at the younger woman who was in fact sulking, pursing her lips into a pout as she sneezed like a goat.

Daichi shook his head as he venture off to the kitchen opening the cupboards in search of supplies while Angelina opened all the windows, well windows that could open anyway.

"Expired" he whispered with a huffing air through his nostrils as he sighs.

" I'm going to get some supplies in town and come back, stay inside, and keep the door locked until I come back." He ordered as he walked to the open door.

'huh, what do you take me for a fricking toddler' she thought.

She became irritated at his comment, taking her of being an incompetent woman didn't sit well with her. The feeling of being underestimated made her blood pressure rise, almost pop the blood vessel on her forehead. But at the same time, she knows that he didn't mean it in that way it's just how monotone he said it.

'Why do you have to be so lifeless all the time, it's frustrating '. She thought glancing at the said male as he took up his keys.

"Okay".

She gave a short answer, as speaking her mind would cause an unnecessary rift between them. Even if he said it with concern for her wellbeing or not.

Daichi on the other hand could pick up on the changes to one's demeanor, especially from the tenseness of her shoulders, how her brow furrowed as a scowl slowly visualized itself onto her once passive facial features.

'Cute is it wrong to think that expression suits her' he contracted himself as he stepped outside the threshold, closing the door behind him.

Angelina watched from the window as he walked away farther from the cabin till he was out of her range of sight. She sighs locking the doors and windows as she promised, turning her attention to the dusty cabin insides, she went in search of cleaning equipment.

She'd occasionally sneezed as Angelina rummaged through the house belongings for what she desired to get the job done.

"Achoo, filthy absolutely filthy, whoever this belongs I want to twist your ears" she cursed under her breath as scrubs and mopped the house clean.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the town's supermarket at that very same moment, Daichi sneezed feeling a chill run down his spine.

"I'm I coming down with something?" he asked no one in particular.

..........

Angelina was a mess, hair sticking on her face or pointing in all different directions, sweat coating her skin for the unusually excessive movement, and her labored breathing like she ran a marathon. All she could think of the whole time was collapsing where she stood willingly inviting the embrace of sleep.

She stood there admiring the hard work she did all by herself, able to breathe without sneezing out the content of her brain matter. But it was only on the first floor of the cabin.
She contemplates whether to do upstairs now or finally go to sleep. In the end, she hailed herself up the stairs because she knew she couldn't be bothered to do it after taking a nap.

"Let's see how long I'll last before succumbing to my desires", She muttered dragging her feet.
