Inseparable

Sesshomaru stood back waiting for her to take the lead. Tail wagging, she strode to him first and touched her nose to his. She then flashed a fang at him and took off toward Rin's scent, jumping over the side of the waterfall. Her dog form was extremely fast and she wanted to know if he could keep up with her.
Running down the trail by the water she thought she had a good lead. Then she saw a white flash to the right of her. He was right beside her, running beat feet to keep up with her.
They zipped around the edge of the village and circled around it. A tree line came into view and Ah-Un's stable. Karuma slowed her pace, but not before she scared Rin and the imp.
"Master Jaken! A demon!"
"Get behind me, Rin! I'll get it!"
Ah-Un jumped in front of the imp.
"What!? Have you two gone daft? Move!" The imp squeaked.
Karuma smiled a fanged grin. Opening her wings, she changed back.
"Hello, my friends. I didn't think to see you again in this lifetime."
They started to make a 'chuff chuff' sound, happily high stepping to her.
"Now, who put these muzzles on your faces?" She quickly proceeded to untie the muzzles and reins, letting them drop to the ground. "There. Now come here."
They lined up Karuma between their two heads and curled around her, licking the tears from her face. "I have missed you both. I'm so glad you're alright."
"Karuma! That was you?...you look different." Rin said.
Sesshomaru stood back watching while Karuma tried to explain in a tactful way what had happened.
"Some of my dormant powers went active. I am different, Rin."
Karuma pulled back from Ah-Un and started to remove their saddle.
"What are you doing!? That is not your beast, so back off!" The imp yell squeaked.
"Jaken, I think you will find that they are hers."
"Milord! But isn't Ah-Un yours, sire?"
Karuma finished with her task, then opening her wings a little, she flipped onto Ah-Un's bare back. "Up, my loves!" She rubbed her bare toes across their scales and grabbed Rin's hand as they took to the sky.
"Rin!" The imp cried.
"Quiet Jaken, it is alright."
Up, up, they went. "Hold on tight to my back, Rin." The girl wrapped her arms around Karuma's back over her wings, and squeezed tight. "Now! Show me what you got, boys!"
Ah-Un spun into a barrel roll, both calling out with the freedom of no muzzle. They traveled higher to a crest then to a free fall back down. "Put your arms around my neck and hold tight, Rin!" The girl leaned up and squeezed, just about choking Karuma.
She dove off the side of Ah-Un. Opening her wings she glided on a warm upward air current. Rin had a death grip on her neck. "Easy, little love. You can open your eyes now."
Rin opened her eyes. They were gliding through white fluffy clouds.
"Wow! It's like Lord Sesshomaru's fur!"
"You can sit up, Rin. I won't drop you."
The youth sat up. "Why are your wings white now, Karuma?"
Hmm...how much do I tell her? What do I tell her? Not the whole truth, obviously. Yeah, I screwed Sesshomaru and got new powers. HA!...that would go over like a fart in church...HA, HA. But what do I say?
Ah-Un came back and flew beside them, only they were carrying Sesshomaru now. He had heard what Rin asked.
"Her wings are white now, Rin, because she is happy. Are you not, Karuma?"
"Very happy, my Lord." She replied blushing. She flew over and lightly landed behind Sesshomaru, setting Rin on Ah-Un.
"But why are you so happy, Karuma?"
"Down, my loves! We need to talk." Karuma said, rubbing her toes on them again.
When they landed Karuma grabbed Rin and hugged her, then flipped off Ah-Un's back. She landed in the grass standing with Rin's feet swinging in the air. She hugged the girl tighter then set her on her feet.
"For one, I am happy I'm free to love you, Rin. I got permission from Sesshomaru. And for two...for two.."
Sesshomaru solved the problem of explanations. He strode over, bent, and kissed Karuma for Rin to see. The girl's mouth hung open, eyes wide.
"For two, you love Lord Sesshomaru?" She asked, a wide smile spreading across her face.
"Yes, Rin. Very much."
"You see, Karuma! I said the two of you should talk. I had a feeling when you spoke of Lord Sesshomaru that something was there."
"Huh. Was I that obvious?"
"No, it was the look on your face...skeptical, but so hopeful. I think Lord Sesshomaru loves you too. When you fell asleep yesterday we talked about how he rushed around to save you. And Kaede told me that he showed up late one night, thinking everyone was asleep. He sat holding your hand. Sounds like love to me."
         Karuma looked toward Sesshomaru, a slow smile spread across her face.
        "Is that true, my Lord?" So sweet, she thought.
        "After I tracked down a small dragon crystal for you...yes, I did come to sit with you. For some reason I was compelled to hold your hand. I was worried I might lose you before I had a chance to see where my feelings were leading." His voice dropped to a whisper. "I was scared."
         Karuma reached over and kissed him, making Rin giggle.
        "Milord, I brought Ah-Un's muz-..." The imp was speechless seeing his master being kissed by the half demon. His mouth hung open.
          Karuma pulled back from Sesshomaru and whispered for his ears alone. "I love you. When I am empty, you fill me. When I am blind, you help me to see. When I am trapped, you help me soar free. When I am alone, you say I'm watching over thee..."
          He brought his lips down on hers, unable to stop himself. The kiss was intense. He must like poetry she thought. Damn elf has a big mouth. He wrapped his arms around her and lifted up, being sure to pad his armor with his fur. Deepening the kiss when she opened her mouth, he ran his tongue around the rim of her lips, then dove in circling around her tongue.
         "Ah...Milord?"
          Sesshomaru ripped his mouth away, setting his forehead on hers and breathing heavily, he whispered. "Poetry, my little elf? You're becoming less like a demon by the hour." Her eyes widened. "Don't fret, apparently I have a liking to elves. I love all the things that make up you, sweetheart." He kissed her again, then set her down. She stepped away.
        "Here are the muzzles, Milord."
        "Imp...Jaken, was it?"
        "Yes, uh...my Lady."
        "Karuma is fine. Jaken, those muzzles are not to go on Ah-Un again. Their saddle and reins can go too. I need them not." Ah-Un walked over and put their heads on her shoulders from behind. Her arms went up and wrapped around each head.
       "Wow, Karuma! Ah-Un really is yours huh? Looks like they missed you."
       "Yes, Rin. But they are my friends, not my possession. I have missed them too."
       "Looks more like family to me." Rin said.
        Oh that did it. Family, yes. Karuma teared up, closing her eyes and burying her face in Ah's neck. Un wrapped around her shoulders.
        Sesshomaru must have smelled her tears. He had Ah-Un release her and stepped in their place, wrapping her in his arms again. He bent and whispered in her ear. "Accept us as your family, Karuma, it may be a small one...but we will nurture it and watch it grow."
        Teary eyed, Karuma leaned back to look at him. "Family, yes. Yes to everything you said today. I want your-our child. If you leave your mark on me, I shall be happy. I want to be yours. I want to make love to you every night for the rest of my life. Yes , yes to all."
Their next kiss they shared was a tender one. Her eyes slipped closed as he gently pressed his lips to hers. He lifted his head and whispered. "I love you, Karuma."
"You two are sweet together." Rin said.
"Rin, you know Karuma has no family? I think we should be her family. What do you think?"
"We are gonna keep her, my Lord?"
Sesshomaru looked at Karuma. She smiled and nodded. Yes, absolutely, she thought.
"Yes, we can keep her."
Karuma grinned, then stepped back from Sesshomaru and threw her hands in the air with a flourish and wrapped her wings about her, morphing into the white dog that stood with paws raised in the air. She pranced to Rin, tail wagging, and bowed. 'Climb on, Rin.'
Rin looked to Sesshomaru. He nodded. With a huge grin, she ran over and climbed on Karuma. She flashed a fang at Sesshomaru and took off.
'Lean down over me, little love, and hold tight to my fur. We are going to go fast.'
"Okay."
Karuma fairly flew, swishing in and out of the trees. Taking the new form for a test run. 'Open your eyes, Rin!'
The ground was flying by in a green whoosh. Rin's fingers pinched tighter, but she kept her eyes open.
Karuma ran to the village, slowing down. 'You can sit up when there are no trees, Rin.'
"Uh, okay." She slowly sat up.
'You know, I could teach you how to fight from my back, Rin. I would like you to be able to defend yourself. Train you, little love.'
"You want to teach me how to fight?"
'Yes.' A shadow passed over them.
"Rin! Are you alright!?"
A two tail whooshed above her head and landed facing them with a snarl. I know that scent...and the teen's get up.
A quick way to avoid aggression. Karuma laid down and Rin jumped off.
"It's okay, Kohaku. Karuma is my..."
Karuma opened her wings and morphed back. Kohaku's eyebrows shot up.
"family." Rin finished.
"I apologize. I had forgotten my size. I can scare people now." Try to win this young demon slayer over. Teens are hilarious too, if I can get him to like me. Here is a start, the two tail stepped forward.
"Hello, Kirara. I have not seen you in ages, old friend." Kirara walked over to Karuma and cuddled her outstretched hand. Now Kohaku's mouth hung open.
"Good way to catch flies kid." His mouth snapped shut.
"Who are you?"
"Karu-
"Kohaku! Is everything okay?" A young woman came running over holding a man-sized boomerang, interrupting Karuma. Couldn't be the same weapon...maybe. I smell bone and poison...nice.
Now the young woman was giving her a gape mouthed look. These two had to be related. "Kirara, I think we are drawing attention." The giant feline cuddle rubbed her shoulder.
"Karuma, my name is Karuma."
Now her mouth snapped shut. "You're the one Kagome was telling us about. Inuyasha's foster mother?"
"Yes, she is Sango!" Kagome, good. She didn't care for the distrustful looks. Kagome came rushing over carrying a baby. Sango handed Kohaku her weapon and took the baby.
"Sniff, sniff.." I smell a fluff.
"Everything okay?" A little fox tyke came running down the road. Oh no...a fox! Karuma started to wiggle. She pounced and landed on him.
"Whoa! Hey!...huh? Who are you?"
She had pinned him down-tail wagging. "You are adorable, little one. My weakness-I love foxes." She sniffed him again. "My name is Karuma."
"Ah..Ah..Shippo."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you, Shippo. My kind used to hunt foxes you know..." She sniffed him again.
"Come on, Karuma. Stop scaring him."
She smiled. Inuyasha. She stood up, grabbing Shippo's hand and pulling him to his feet beside her. She put him on her shoulder.
"What the hell happened to you?" Her eyebrow lifted in question. "You look different," his voice dropped, "and you stink of Sesshomaru."
She smirked. Same old Inuyasha. "Nice to see you too, Inuyasha. Why, yes, I had an excellent morning. Thanks for asking."
"I'm sure you did." He said disgustedly. "Your scent says it all."
Her cheeks turned red.
"Inuyasha, sit!"
A necklace lit up around his neck and pulled him to the ground. "SMACK!" HA!..what the hell was that!? She looked to Kagome. "He was asking for it."
"I could've used that training him!" Hilarious! Kagome had tamed Inuyasha.
Kagome laughed. "The first night I met Inuyasha, Kaede helped me with the beads of subjugation. We had no choice."
"Wild dogs gotta be kept in line." She started laughing, slapping her thigh.
"It ain't funny! Damn females, always ganging up on me..."
Karuma got a mental picture of Kagome leading Inuyasha around on a leash-and lost it again, laughing hysterically. "She got you on a leash, boy! Ahahaha!"
"Dammit! It ain't funny!"
All the rest of them listening to their interaction were having a hard time keeping a straight face.
"Better tie him out, Kagome, he's getting snappy!" That was what clinched it. Everyone laughed...yeah, she missed this.
She walked over to Inuyasha and grabbed his hand, pulling him up.
"Don't dish it out if you can't take it, boy." She smiled, "I missed you."
"Yeah, yeah. So what did happen? Why has your appearance changed?"
"It's a long story. I don't quite know how myself." But I do know why, she thought.
"Does it have something to do with Sesshomaru?"
"Yes, it does. It would be nice if you were happy for me, Inuyasha. I am happy."
"Is he being good to you? He had better..."
She smiled. Love him. "Yes, he is wonderful. Worry not."
Shippo spoke up. "Did you really raise Inuyasha?"
"Teh. I don't think he ever grew up, kid."
Shippo laughed. Karuma set him down.
"Oh ha, ha. Real funny."
The woman, Sango stepped over with her baby. "How is it you know Kirara?
"From long ago. I knew the demon slayers, and worked with them on a few missions. Kirara and I have fought together."
"You knew the demon slayers?" Kohaku asked.
She smiled. "I sure did. They were an awesome fighting force. I'm glad to see a few remain. Perhaps we could go on a mission together, Kohaku."
"Where's Miroku, Sango?" Kagome asked, looking around for him.
"Walking with the girls. He should be along soon."
She was beginning to miss Sesshomaru already. Karuma sniffed around and looked up. Her heart tripped up. He stood on the roof of the hut beside her, watching over her.
"He won't leave you alone, Karuma. You are irresistible. Surprised he didn't notice sooner." Inuyasha spoke close to her ear, inclining his head toward the roof his brother was currently standing upon. "And, I am happy for you. Only because you seem so happy."
She smiled at Inuyasha's words. "Excuse me a sec." She jumped straight up to the rooftop, landing lightly. She stood smiling at him, then strode over and wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled his head down to hers. "I missed you..." She gave him a searing kiss, diving in with both barrels. He opened up for her and their tongues met in the middle. Pushing, twirling, diving deep.
I can't get enough of him. I want him...geez, this backfired. She ripped her lips away, breathing hard. That didn't deter him. He began kissing her neck, burying his face in her hair. He licked the back of her neck where his mark would be if they were mated.
"My mark, right here." He licked again. Oh...the sensations.
The way her reactions were to him, it wouldn't be long before the beast comes out to challenge him. She was ready to have him take her on the roof with the others waiting below. He brought his mouth back to hers, hovering over it.
"I can smell you, Karuma."
"Yes, love...I want you."
His mouth descended on hers once more with a growl. He seemed almost aggressive in his passion. His tongue delving into her mouth, pushing her back and poking her with his armor. She cared not, her demon was loving it. She got aggressive right back, nipping his tongue and sucking the blood off the tip, and healing it again almost instantly.
"Hey." Bucket of cold water, splash...Inuyasha stood on the roof, Karuma stared at him from Sesshomaru's arms, red faced.
"Why don't you two get outta here, no one needs to see that. I will make excuses for you, Karuma. Sesshomaru, get her outta here."
And with that he was gone. Huh, what a sweetheart.
"You have an out elf. What do you wish to do?"
She turned to him. The fires were banked, but still sizzled. "Take me back to the waterfall, my love."
